I really enjoyed that album. Was disappointed it wasn't new material.

The Pandora channel for Lindsey Stirling is all over the place musically. I want to change the channel but a wise man once said that you never, EVER stop in the middle of a hoedown.

She's cute, and not bad technically, but all of Stirling's original music is boring as shiat. Oh, look more arpeggios. It's like she went to the Phillip Glass School of Composition.

I never heard of this person before. But I think this comment calls for you to post links to some of your compositions ?

Based on some of her interviews, she does not play the violin as well as she can because she dances while she plays. Understandably, it would be difficult to play and dance at the same time. But her dancing just does not add that much. I would prefer to hear better and more diverse sounding music than throwing in a twirl or kicking out a leg.

Ditto.  Not that I mind seeing more of her work.

Oh yes, sometimes I forget that opinions are not allowed. I've never had an opinion of the president before, how could I when I've never been president!?

Real violinists can play more than one note at a time.

I also note she has almost has the Susanna Hoff look and eyeroll technique down pat.

That's kind of how I feel about it.  Her videos include mediocre music and mediocre dancing who gets sensationalized because she's kinda cute and likes nerdy things.

I could care less about her violin playing, but the electronic part of her music is pretty much garbage with no original sound design at all.

It's a shame she's such an unimaginative dancer too, then.

I liked it. Good, simple video, nice, decent violin music. Keep it up kid! I'd lose the eared-hood though, looks goofy in context.

She's talented and has done some great collaborations with the Piano Guys and Peter Hollens. Personally, I enjoy her music more when she's not flitting around trying to dance, but just playing her music.

Yeah, just don't think you can be sexy dancing while playing a violin.  Concentrate on the music.

Yes, her music can be boring, but she is a young lady who has taken control of her destiny.  That is more than most can say, probably more than most of the Fark critics can say.

Her violin skills are great.  But her dubstep components in her music are nonsense as it's about as generic as it can possibly get.  That said, if you're looking for some dubstep that isn't just about making a bunch of wub noises and has alot more components in terms of melody and variation in song structure, I'd recommend some AU5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7pi5VGTEz0

I thought it was going to be this song done with a violin, but oh well, she's cute as hell and when I found out she's 27 I didn't have to feel bad about having impure thoughts about her.

Lesbian-Jesus:

No, it doesn't, because "let's see you do better" is never, ever a valid response to criticism.

You don't need to be a great chef to know when you're eating lousy food.

You don't need to be a talented director to know when a movie is a cliche-riddled bore.

You don't need to be a superb novelist to know that 50 Shades is poorly written garbage.

And you don't need to be a great composer to know when the music you're listening to is tired and repetitive.

In a discussion about her music, the rest of your statement is irrelevant.

I was going to post an Alison Krauss link as well. I like this one because of the outfit she's wearing.

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Please Read The Letter (live)

I once was watching a AKUS concert on TV and my wife walked in and asked "Who's that?" I guess my brain's inner voice\outer voice circuits got switched because I replied "Your replacement"

At least I go to find out that couch is surprisingly comfortable to sleep on.

My daughter is a huge fan and told me that, should I ever re-marry, she gives me permission to marry Lindsey Stirling.

I'm so glad. Because, you know, it was my spawn's permission which was the only thing keeping me from marrying the woman.
