I like Sahara, and people speak very badly of it.

I liked 'Butterfly Effect' a lot, but it's routinely badmouthed.

Dune is one of the few movies I own on DVD. I'll watch that anytime it's on TV.

I'm Gonna Get You Sucka. Sure, it helps to be a little baked, but that movie is hysterical.

A lot of people hate The Chronicles of Riddick, and for good reason, but I'll still watch it every damn time.

The Chase.  So bad it's good.

Ghosts of Mars
Buckaroo Banzai
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Starship Troopers
Ghidorah
Some of the Hellraiser sequels (Deader, Hellworld)
Phantasm & sequels
About half of the ones mentioned already...

Yes, I have low tastes.  I gave up reviewing movies on Amazon because the "Stop liking what I don't like!" got too shrill and venomous.  Fark them.  Time for popcorn and movies that did not make the cut for MST3K.

Biscuit Tin: I like Sahara, and people speak very badly of it.

This. (esp. Clive Cussler)

Frederick: I liked 'Butterfly Effect' a lot, but it's routinely badmouthed.

This too.

More as they come to mind.

If they re-booted MST3K, what movies would they show?
My personal picks:
"Mac and Me". Ugly ass alien gets separated from his interstellar trailer trash family and must find them with the power of Coke.
"Nukie". What sounds like an action movie about a nuclear powered superhero is really an even worse ET ripoff than Mac and Me. The host segments write themselves.
"Nukie: The Doll! Made out of snot, used bandages, and dumpster juice".

Noticed in a film review book Roger Ebert gave The Big Blue a two turkey rating....might have just been the US version....

Kind of a Luc Besson fan, loved le Grand Bleu...

My father watches War of the Worlds (the tom cruise version) and The Day After Tomorrow every single time they're on TV.

Any number of really terrible monster movies with giant radioactive insects, spiders, lizards etc. That shiat is pure gold on a lazy rainy Saturday with a bowl of popcorn and a bottle of wine.

Ishtar was a cute little movie.  If it didn't have big expensive stars it wouldn't be considered a flop.

Devil's Advocate. Gotta love Al Pacino's over the top performance.

I don't think people understand that the movie is supposed to be a comedy/parody for whatever reason.

I've tried to convert people to the movie and there's a bunch of people that just don't get it.

Krull and Ladyhawke are often lambasted as cheesy badawful 80's fantasy shlock.

But, dammit, I grew up watching 'em and even though I'm older and can see their flaws, I still love 'em.

Probably 85 percent of the movies shown on Epix Drive-In.

(Someone, somewhere would probably consider these not safe for workplace viewing)

Funnily enough, they aired Buckaroo Banzai last month. Watched it for the first time since my initial viewing in the the early-1990s. I liked it much more this time around.

A really-much-better-than-expected giant-creature-feature (for those who appreciate their meager charms) is Rogue

It sets up the time and place and atmosphere and characters so well that the viewer actually gives a sh*t when the fecal matter starts hitting the rotating blades (around 45 minutes in).

Catwoman.

Halle Berry is breathtaking and the script is awful.

Then again you really won't need to pay too much attention to the script.

/if you can get past Rosie O'Donnell in dominatrix gear there are several funny bits.
