ladyfortuna: OhioUGrad: I've never understood why bars force everyone out at 2am anyway, they could stay open, just stop serving and allow people to sober up before leaving. (some places do that I believe)

Because they have to pay people to stand there and monitor them or the owners would have to do it themselves, plus they won't be able to start cleaning up til everyone leaves. I don't blame them at all for booting people. Do you want to still be at work past 2-3 am?

It's not like they can't serve food and other beverages, just not alcohol. There are plenty of people who work third shift that work passed 2-3 am. I don't want to work that late, but that's why I went to college and am not a bartender/food worker.
