Peter von Nostrand: I would say Fark is better than this but I'm not sure anymore

It's the Mail, I'm pretty sure 99.999% of FARK is aware that it's about as credible as the National Enquirer or Weekly World News (actually, less credible, Enquirer actually lucked out and got a legit story once).  And the other couple guys also know and are just pretending they don't for trollin' purposes.

Which is why these threads usually turn into a discussion of some vaguely-related issue several posts in and there's rarely mention of TFA itself.

How do you think the Cubbies will do this year?

The grocery store checkout aisle magazines have been saying this for years. How does batboy and images of jesus on toast fit in to this though?

Actually, this is a Daily Mail article based on a National Enquirer story.

The Cubbies have a better chance of winning the Series than the Obamas divorcing

Shiat, bros, this is serious. The husband of the Danish PM is the son of Neil Kinnock, the former head of of the UK Labour Party. And now the son wants to be British PM.

Don't you see? Obama slept with Helle Thorning-Schmidt as political payment for a socialist revolution in the UK, and the selfie with Cameron was proof that even HE is in on the plot now. Michelle is just mad that in overthrowing the British government, her plans to become Queen were put aside. That was her safe haven, since once the Muslim revolution in the States is complete, she'll have to wear a burqa and ... oh hell, I can't do this. How can writers at the DailyMail come up with this drivel every day?

It's articles like this that make me understand why the UK has such stringent libel laws.  Sadly, the tabloids have found ways around it and this garbage gets printed but it's impossible to print anything about Trafigura and the Ivory Coast.

Unsteady my mother objected to paying for her health insurance e just so Michelle Obama can take another vacation to Hawaii. She and I conversed about the for profit medical system and the dearth of ideas to fix the actual problem while a table of old white men kept looking at me angrily when I asked her for a solution to the problem that our system is designed for companies to make profit (defined as extra money unneeded to care for a person) off the sickness and death of humans.

True story.

The thing I love about Republicans and Obama is how much their attacks on him resemble the Christmas tree salesman's sale pitch in A Christmas Story.

Michelle Obama stays behind in Hawaii after the presidential vacation and the President says it's a birthday present. Time away from him is a birthday present? That doesn't sound like a happy couple to me.

1)  How long have you been married?  Most folks who has been married more than ten years get this.

2)  It might be a break from D.C.  Which I would also get.

Really? Because if my wife told me 'Hunny, it's your birthday, you can have the house to yourself for a few days, enjoy!' I'd be pantsless and parked in front of my xbox in 30seconds flat. Maybe even take enough time to make a bacon sandwich and grab some beer.

She'll probably win the White House after the next Presidential election and then get to take selfies with people, too.

Of course the ticket of Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton would raise the shrill of GOP whining to ear-damaging levels.

Then again, sometimes you just have to ignore someone who's in a pissy mood and have enjoy yourself,
even your wife...

You can empathize, you can care...but sometimes it's just not enough
and you can't control it...besides, you damn well know there are times you DO pay attention,
and that just pisses them off more anyway.

Why? Because sometimes, it's not you...it just is.
And reality creates situations like that.

Enjoy the moment...and sometimes you just have to let them get through their baggage.
They're adults, they can handle it...or at least they should.

Have fun, hopefully they can join you in it.
