Maybe it's time to release the Strategic Bacon Reserves. We have that, right?

Big Bacon and their Windfall Profits.  Stop the bacon subsidies and impose windfall profit taxes on Big Bacon.

As it turns out, bacon prices have been because people are really into bacon these days.

It's your fault, submitter.  I hope you're happy.

Which you probably are, what with all of the bacon.

Those crispy strips of gustatory heaven are worth whatever price they want to charge. Priorities, people.

Up here in Syracuse a new food truck is just opening up -   Bacon Brothers food truck

That's right- every item has bacon. Every Item. Bacon.

But meanwhile, pork prices as a whole remain brutally low, making it difficult for anyone but factory farms to make a buck at it.  And pork bellies as a share of the price of a pig have skyrocketed, as TFA mentions.

So people, eat more of all the non-bacon parts of the pig.  As Homer says, there are lots of delicious parts to this magical animal.

It's awful, awful, vile stuff!

LAUGHTER OL probably should not have the making of blameworthiness on Barack the Hussein of Obama who is the president of the United States of the Americas because I do not think that he is the person who makes the controls of this. What the silly thing to have suggestion of submitter do you not think he has the more important things of doing the dealings with?

You could maybe do the blaming of the roommate of me. She is the bigger person and I am thinking she eats the ton of bacon each year. There was once the time where I went to the university of me where I am the graduate student and told the lab mates of me:

There was not the barking from the dog.
I am happy there is not that which is smog.
And the roommate of me did the breakfast cooking without the hog!

Yes it was this much of the excitement to me because of the massive eating of this.

Too much longness to do the reading: bacon is totes overrated.

It's a little too contrived to come off as legitimate ESL writing.  It's too much Balki and not enough Latka.  Take it back to the lab, it's not quite ready yet.  But close.

Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfarkers. Pigs sleep and root in shiat, that's a filthy animal. I don't eat nothin' that ain't got sense enough to disregard its own feces.

I buy bacon at our farmers market it's like 12 bucks a pound, we first bought it because of how inhumane the factory pig farms are but after cooking it and saving some bacon fat I am skeeved out by the difference between the bacon fat from factory farms and the bacon fat from a normal family farm.

Sure the "media" and the "consumer price index" with all of their "data" and "historical records" way that the "CPI" is only 1.5% this year.  But have you been in a grocery store?  Peanut butter is way more expensive than it used to be.  I've got all kinds of memories about how things used to be cheaper.

Checkmate, Obama.

Last month I got $3.99 baby backs at Publix of all places.  I would expect those kinds of prices at the Winn Dixie, but not at Publix.  That's the fancy supermarket.  They clean the floors and the workers have teeth.

If you think this is bad, you should realize that there's a new disease spreading amongst pig farms here in the US. It's known as Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV). It spreads rapidly, and has high morbidity and mortality in piglets. If it continues to spread like it currently is, it could have huge repercussions on the Pork industry, and as a result, could cause major increases in all pork prices, particularly bacon. So...yea. Could be getting much, much worse.
