Project based in South Korea, they probably just don't know.

I'd love me a 3D printer but I can't bring myself to shell out $700 on one.

There's no such thing as bad PR. Think how much coverage the project will get because of the name.

Don't worry, the cost will go down once they can 3D print you a 3D printer.

60% of my 3D printer is 3D printed. Cost about 800 after I put it all together. Great project if you can handle the truth.

Awesome, then I can recoup my cost by printing out more 3D printers to sell.

Is it RAPPY or is it RAPY?

I hope it's the former.

I sent my payment in and got a reply that said "You gonna get rapy".

I'm scared!

It says "RAPPY" on the header but down in the body they say it's RAPY. "Rapid Advanced Printing sYstem"

Is it just me or are other people hesitant to back Kickstarters in places there's no chance I could go knock on a door if it came to that? California? Fine. Belarus? No way...

That's way too meta.

Subby here. Last night when I posted this, the name was definitely RAPY. When I checked in this morning they'd changed the title and the graphic in the middle of the posting. I sent them a note about the original name ("Hey, guys, might want to rethink that name if you plan on selling in an English-speaking market...") Wonder how many other people did.

"We fixed name. You see new name on site now."

"See? R-A-P-P-Y!"

I don't think they're out of the woods yet.

"Dear Mr. Winterhawk11, thank you graciously for the revealing information! It was not our meaning to have this understanding, and we wish to include Englash-speaking markets for the sales. After careful consideration, we have made a slight change to avoid this misunderstanding. The product will now be known as the Rapid Advanced Printing Emulsification sYstem, or RAPEY. Many thanks for your assistance!"

HAH! I wish it was that reliable. It's like owning a classic British car... you see a puddle of oil under the front and all you think is: "Excellent. I'll get my wrench".

So it looks like they initially called it RAPY, but then realized their mistake, and added a P.

And now its new name is R. Kelly.

Those wacky southeast Asians... I had a student in Japan named Takeo that thought "Tacky" would be a good nickname for him in English.

I thought the joke was that it sounds like 'crappy'. They should still change the name. Or just forget about Kickstarter and resign themselves to working for someone smarter.

On the plus side, the tentacle-themed sex toy templates it comes with are pretty sweet.

Rapy sounds like Rapey.

Rappy sounds like Crappy.

They still need a new name.

That doesn't hold a candle to my new prototype 3D printer.  I call it "The Surprise Sex" printer.
