$830 would buy you a majority ownership of the Kings in a just world.

So, they eat the loss when it drops 20% before they can cash out?

Makes sense. Fake 'sport' = Fake 'money'.

I don't even get your joke. Wouldn't he have had to say that about the Oklahoma Thunder to say that? Or was there some old rivalry between the Sonics and the Kings that I don't know about? Completely possible, I don't follow western sports that much.

The Kings were almost moved to Seattle in the off season.

If this isn't a sign that we've hit Peak Bitcoin, what is?

How?  That link has Sacrimento right near the middle, like 1/3 down from the best teams.

By the time this article hits they're down to $700.  But they'll be back to $800 in a few hours, then down to $600.

Also, the Kings are NOT accepting bitcoins.  A third party is taking the bitcoins and paying the Kings with real money.

BitCoins are at $900 haven't been at $700 since Christmas (not saying they're not volatile, but what you said is not true)

Bitcoins are the first step towards a single worldwide currency, and are secretly being by George Soros.

Pre-coffee conspiracy rants are the best kind.

I have a friend who actually believes Soros is behind Bitcoins.

It's almost as if I was using hyperbole to make a joke!

Though the part about the Kings not actually taking bitcoins is true. Bitpay takes the coins, then Bitpay gives the kings real money.  Same with Overstock.com, and the dealership that sold that guy the Tesla.  Right now there are no legitimate businesses that are actually taking bitcoins. (though drug dealers and child pornographers sure love em!)

And even their prices are pegged to filthy fiat instead of bitcoin itself.
