Zac Eccleston, 11, of Camborne, Cornwall, was put into isolation for the £15 haircut
His mother branded the decision to take him out of classes 'ridiculous' and kept him off school for one week

"I'm going to punish the school who took you out of class for a day by removing you for a week! That should show 'em!"

And just because it seems necessary for this thread:

Mr Betteley also said the ordeal wouldn't stop his stepson having another unique hairstyle in future.
He said: 'He'll probably have another one again... it will just be in the six week summer holiday next time.'

Can't he just feather the front of his hair, shave some horizontal lines onto the side of his head, and grow out the back like a normal kid?

Well... yes, actually. The isolation is at least partly intended as punishment, so keeping him home undermines that punishment. Further, school funding is partly determined by student performance, so by keeping him out of class she was harming the school.

And they caved, so good for her.

So Burberry is like FUBU was 10-15 years ago? Or Ed Hardy now?

Burberry realized how the chavs were ruining their image, and pulled most of the casual wear with the plaid from the market.

Look at the kid, do you seriously think that average student performance dropped when he was not there?

My God, if there is a more punchable face on a kid out there, I haven't seen it. I don't know what it is about the little douchebag that makes me want to shove him into a toilet. Perhaps its the stupid haircut or maybe the stupid earing. It's almost like he's the British equivalent to West Virginia.

When the vice-principAL says:
'Parents and students are aware of the high standards and there are no exceptions.'

He means:
'Subjects and their chattel are aware of our draconian standards and zero-tolerance policies.'

When he says:
'Camborne Science and International Academy is the top performing state school in Cornwall and we believe our school uniform policy is one of the factors that makes us such a good school and one of choice for our parents.'

He means:
'We have created a reputation for being the only choice for the chattel to become successful subjects, so we can enforce whatever policies we choose that amuse us and they just have to take it. It's all part of the process for making uniform, obedient subjects.'

/HTH

Anyway, it's England. I don't think they do the whole NCLB funding thing. Could be wrong, though.

Wasn't there a another story this week about a stupid kid with crap shaved into his hair and the school was upset? School shaved his head at the school. Problem solved.

And on a side note that's the dumbest haircut I've seen in a long time. Don't you usually cut the remaining hair short then shave to skin for the design. Just shows there's white trash in England too.

FrancoFile: ? They like frog cars? Is it because of the Peugeot lion?

The small Citroën is cheap to own, C usually sweetens the deal on new cars with paid insurance the first year(s). Therefore they become popular with the yoofs. I think that Peugeot ride the coattails of Citroën because the cars are made alongside in the same factory, sharing a lot of parts like engines and suspension stuff and that's important if you're a modding yoof...
