As a European, I don't understand the popularity of Hershey's chocolate. It tastes really cheap and nasty, less like chocolate and more like chocolate "flavouring" cut with sugar and some kind of milk byproduct. Compared to other brands like Lindt, Milka, Ritter, Galaxy, Cadburys etc. it's simply foul. I'm not sure why I'd want a spreadable version.

Why would I buy imitation Nutella when I can get real Nutella? This seems pointless.

Nutella is disgusting, the Hersheys could hardly be worse.

TuteTibiImperes: I've never had Nutella, maybe I should buy some.  And some Marmite, I've never had that either.

Skip the Marmite.

Nutella is hazelnuts that haven't spoiled due to oxidation yet because they're covered in chocolate, which is an excellent anti-oxidant*.

*Most people that don't like hazelnuts haven't had a hazelnut that hasn't become rancid through oxidation

This just seems disgusting to me. I don't even spread Nutella very often, but it's not even a question I'd pick Nutella over Hershey's any day.

Does Hershey's actually make real chocolate anymore?  Maybe they should spend more time making real chocolate and not that nasty mockolate that isn't even fit to be sandwiched into a S'more anymore.

Especially when they have dibs on the best hazelnuts.

Primitive Screwhead: For RI Farkers:
The Nutella sold at Job Lot is made in Poland.
Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me but I swear it's better than the Canadian version we get at "regular" stores.

We've got some Job Lots just over the MA border here, some down in CT too.

Great deals on Teddy PB and Peanut Butter & Co, Red Mills grain pre-mixes, olive oil; also tow straps and tarps.

Best I've had wasn't even a spread.
Just thick chunks of chocolate in a still warm piece of baguette.

/why yes, this was in France, why do you ask?

Since when was Hershey's associated with good tasting chocolate?

/nothing like the taste of purposely burnt chocolate for "consistency" sake
//nutella isn't that great either, though

wildcardjack: Yet another enticement to keep you eating bread. One of humanity's worse addictions.

You don't need to use bread, you can spread it onto bacon, ice cream, brocolli, your significant other.

If it's made from Hershey's chocolate is basically guaranteed to be disgusting.  Unless you like the mess of vegetable oil and cocoa powder they pass off as chocolate.  Which would only be the case if you had never had real chocolate.
