Worth asking - but, if the officers surrounded the car within seconds, how did the two passengers manage to escape on foot?

Some people like a good challenge.

Someone found the real life three  star code.

The two dudes turned themselves in, but according to TFA, no charges have been filed.  WTF??

Well that was a stupid move.

A get away car lined up for a purse snatcher? Really? Cops are full of shiat. I was hoping to read a nice, tidy article about a beat down and instead there is an article full of fabricated details so this legalized street gang can carry on about their business.

That's a remarkably detailed article.

Did they yell, "hup! Hup! Hup!" When chasing him down?

Troll Tip: You will get more nibbles if you refer to the police as bacon.

Just for good measure and since they were all gathered for training anyway, cops went ahead and beat purse owner because it was sort of her fault in the first place.

Of course they shot somebody dead. Can't we come up with better ways to subdue someone, other than shooting them with bullets?

Almost read the article, but couldn't figure out where this Vienna was since there were no kangaroos. The cops were driven mad by drinking that special WVA water, or as they call it, licorice flavored vodak.

Lies like this? TFA "Whether the alleged purse snatcher was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle was not immediately available" then later in TFA "When the officer attempted to remove the key, the suspect who was driving the vehicle accelerated"

Empty H: Of course they shot somebody dead. Can't we come up with better ways to subdue someone, other than shooting them with bullets?

They even shot up other cars and stuff for good measure...

I think you're all overlooking the real tragedy here:

The Honda struck the decorative boulder at the edge of the Outback Steakhouse parking lot, dislodging it and sending it several feet into the parking lot.

Well, I'm pulling for you, boulder.  Hang in there, buddy!

Here, the alleged purse snatcher had a white Honda waiting to serve as an escape vehicle, he said. Details on the make and model of the vehicle were not available Tuesday evening.

Make: Honda. Glad I could fill in that detail.

On the other hand if you purse a snatch in a food court where 26 police officers are training, they will probably want to conduct a cavity search.

"Because many of the area law enforcement agencies had officers present at the scene when the incident occurred, the investigation was turned over to the West Virginia State Police, which had no one involved in the Homeland Security class, Baylous said. [...] All officers involved in the incident will receive mandatory counseling before they can be eligible to return to full duty, Martin said."

In other news, half of West Virginia will be unpatrolled.

Once again, the intrepid men of law and order spring into action, putting bodies at risk to protect honest, decent, tax-paying citizens and you anti-cop can only think to make lame jokes about the police.  You should be ashamed and your home towns should turn into Mogadishu analogs.

Why not?  It was probably to escape pursuit by civilians, not the cops, though.

So it was a Grand Mall seizure?

Half of West Virginia is patrolled by only 26 cops?
