I think showing emotion on the sideline during emotional moments of a game can have a positive impact on your team. It's less about the language and more about the passion for me.

As a huge Bengals fan, this is really bad news.  Future projections are trending downward.

As my buddy put it, in an email between out group of friends today:  And I quote:

"fark this team, fark the owner, fark this organization.  Gruden leaving is fine by me. But to me, Zimmer should have been hired as the Bengals head coach. If this was the case, the players and fans would've had a new life, a new spark, a reason to believe and have hope for a bright future. Instead, Marvin stays in another rebuilding year, some key players bail to other teams, new coordinators on both sides of the ball, everyone has to learn new systems, etc, etc, etc. We had our chance.  As for me, I'm joining many, many other season ticket holders who will no longer be throwing their money down the rabbit hole. I've been disappointed and let down too many times. In fact, I think all ticket holders over the past 5 years should gang up and sue the shiat out of this franchise. I want my $7k back from the last 5 years, mike brown!  Good luck watching any home games on tv this year, because 75% of home games will NOT sell out. The stone peaked over the hump and is now rolling downhill and gaining speed with no stopping it. Next stop, the basement of the afc north. "

then after a few followup emails amongst everyone:

"This really sucks. I've seen Donnie's meltdown, Kygz has his 2009 letdown, and now it'shiat me hard. I have no choice but to emotionally detach myself from this so-called franchise. It's like a hot woman leading you on for years, batting her eyes, showing a little cleavage, whispering sweet nothing's in your ear, only to cock block you every time you think you're gonna score.  Then doing that over and over and over again. Eventually, you have to give that biatch the boot, realize that's she has never done a damn thing for you after all you done for her, drag the biatch out in the alley and skull fark her.

So in summary, I'll still watch from a distance, but I realize that I'll never get my dick wet with this team. I'll come for the party with no expectations. But I won't invest my money, hopes, and dreams. It's gonna be on my couch from afar with no emotional attachment
."

This is what it is like in Bengalsland today, everyone.  There are not high hopes for the future.
It happened to me after the 2009 debacle, but I still watch and attend because it's something my father and i do together.  If he didn't care or want to go to the games, I'm sure I wouldn't attend another game.

I've said it multiple times, only for the sheer sports entertainment value of having Patterson/Peterson/ManFranziel for defenses to deal with. I totally agree with other needs, but you have to admit having ManzFranziel would be worth the price of admission, until he get blowed up.

Kygz: ....

I really understand the dissapointment this season and the past but I don't get the hatred for Marvin Lewis.  He's a damn good coach in my opinion.  Sure, he hasn't been perfect and had trouble early on but the team was loaded with trouble makers (Chad Johnson/Ochocino/WTFBBQ or whatever he's calling him self nowadays.)  Once they cut those guys the team really started to gel.  I think Bengals fans have gotten so use to making it to the first round and being eliminated that they forget about the days that cincy was as bad or even worse then the browns.  Every season Cincy was pre-written in as a W on most teams schedules.  Marvin Lewis managed to turn that around even with a team full of A-holes and an Owner that doesn't give a flying fark about the team or it's fans.

Look, I'm not arguing rather Lewis should be replaced as head coach or not.  Maybe a coach change is needed to get the team in the next step or maybe the owner needs to actually get off his lazy ass and start writing checks for talent.  I don't know.  All I know is that Bengals fans should be gratefull to Lewis for what he has given them considering what he has had to work with.

fark.

Well... maybe this'll give me the impetus to quit following the Cincinnati Schleprocks altogether.  That and yet another playoff bust.

Who the fark am I kidding?  I've followed this franchise almost since the beginning. I know damn well that by next season I'll be dragging my ass back to wherever there's a TV on Sundays.  If I didn't quit during the 90s, I'm not going to be able to now.

I said for half the year they should promote Marvin to GM, Promote Zimmer to head coach.  But so it goes.  I'm not actually too worried about this, as I like the talent on the team.  Think we're gonna still win 10-12 games next year and finally get tat playoff win.

Yeah, after Denny Green lost in the playoffs 4 years straight even HE was in danger of losing his job back in the day. After a 5th straight loss in the playoffs, ANYONE should have their job status re-evaluated. Does that mean he should be fired? Man, opinions will run the gamut. Still, 0-5 in the playoffs may be better then 0-0... it's still not good ENOUGH after a while.

i understand that and I do agree.  At some point you as the coach need to start winning your playoff games or you get replaced.  I think it's nice to make the playoffs often but at some point you got to win a few and show some progress.  The problem with raising the bar for you teams is in fact that the bar continues to raise.  Take your team that only had 3 wins and make them have 6 -7 wins for year or two then everyone expects you tohave  9-10 wins shortly after that.  Then comes the standard of making the playoffs and then being a constant playoff contender followed by being extepected to make the first round bye/deep runs etc...  The point I'm saying is that to be able to be a coach you have to meet the constant raising bar every so often in order to keep your job.  Lewis was good enough to raise the bar but I don't know if he has it in him to continue to raise it so maybe it is time to go.

My ultimate point to this stupid rant is I feel like Bengals fans don't show Lewis enough respect for what he did for this team.  I hear fans rant that Lewis is a useless coach, etc and that seems cold all things considered.  He's a good coach who did a lot with a crappy team and a useless owner.

I know, long way of say that.
