GOP Candidate: Black, Dick

2014-01-15 12:50:55 PM
If it's legitimate rape the divorce lawyer has a way of shutting the whole thing down.

2014-01-15 12:51:35 PM
Exhibit A: As a state legislator, Black opposed making spousal rape a crime,  the impossibility of convicting a husband accused of raping his wife "when they're living together, sleeping in the same bed, she's in a nightie, and so forth."

Well, obviously if she's in a nightie. Yoga pants would be suspect, too. But he did not allow for any exceptions to the Flannel Nightgown Rule, so it's not like a wife who really wants to send a clear "no raping tonight" message doesn't have options.

People like that need their dicks chopped off.

Okay, I have to admit I'm kind of amused at calling birth control "baby pesticide."

Christ, what an asshole. I'm betting he ends up the GOP presidential nominee in a decade or so.

2014-01-15 01:02:37 PM
Seriously, this is a pathos now. They can't stop talking about rape, and trying to somehow make it not a criminal act.  How the fark does that even become something not only acceptable to the party at large, but seemingly the prevailing opinion?

When your party is viewed as "pro-rape" it is time to reevaluate your stance and members.

This guy, though, is a piece of work, he also claimed military rape was "human nature" and defended that (including enjoying the control) and he watched rape porn in front of a reporter.  I honestly wonder if this guy has actually raped someone, because I can't see how anyone but an actual rapist could hold his views on such a violent crime.

After you've been married for a few years, ALL sex with your spouse is basically rape.

Well, to be fair, he did say I do. After that, it's just negotiating the girth of the strap-on.

You are mistaken, they LOVE sharia law, they just hate those dirty brown folks.

After living here for the past 14 years, I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the Republican state legislators are just one step removed from Cro-Magnon man.  Either that, or had most of their higher brain functions removed before running for office.

Hell, they make NJ politics look downright tame with the crazy shiat they keep trying to pass, over and over.  Someone like the Cooch would have been laughed at if he had tried his schtick in someplace like NJ (well, outside of the more redneck parts of that state, that is...and yes, NJ DOES have rednecks).

Sometimes it's a great way to spice up your sex life.

Like when I come at my wife in a black mask with a sock full of quarters and she hits me with her taser and I wake up with a sore rectum.

God I love my wife.

Because you cease to be a person once you are married?

I'm honestly confused, because I thought Republicans valued the individual over the collective - marriage in this case being the collective. Do they even know what it is they stand for anymore?

They want to institute it, almost exactly, just a white Christian version of it.

The question keeps coming up, but where the hell are all of the jobs these people are supposed to be creating? "Rapist" isn't a job, and rape counselors are often volunteers, so they're really going about this incorrectly.

Because it's the opposite of the "liberal" opinion.

They think they can win this thing with the right messaging.

If you view women as property stances like this sort of make sense.

Dude is a piece of work....

2014-01-15 01:21:37 PM
I certainly did not agree with Frank Wolf that much, but at least he was an old school Republican that mainly cared about fighting communism back in the 80s and fiscal stuff more recently, and wasn't socially conservative batshiat.  But you know with him retiring the Tea Partiers are just looking to fill that void.  If they were to put up someone moderate, they'd have a pretty good shot at keeping this seat, but it's not the Loudon-to-Winchester part of Virginia of 15 years ago where an (R) next to the name automatically wins the seat.  With more suburbs in eastern Loudoun and western Fairfax, the district has been real close in recent gubernatorial/presidential elections, and the Republicans nominating a nutjob would certainly make it easier for the Democrats (see last year's gubernatorial election).

2014-01-15 01:21:46 PM
The Virginia GOP is in shambles.  Although this seat's been in Republican hands for decades, the district went for Romney in 2012 by just over 1%.  There is a very viable, female candidate who has a much, much stronger chance of keeping the seat red.  But the party guard still hasn't decided whether or not to nominate by convention.  If they do, it's likely there's another I'm-more-conservative-than-you-circle-jerk that ends with a Democratic winner.

Funny, that's not what I would've expected Evil Incarnate to look like.

Protip:

If you are looking for a group that logically applies their espoused beliefs to the real world the GOP is not the group you are looking for.

Why would we need to make that a crime?  Shouldnt it be caught up with traditional rape charges and the added domestic battery.  So we are going to make it doubly illegal?

Wow

2014-01-15 01:23:21 PM
The liberal press has made a big deal of painting the GOP as the pro rape party.  Some people have suggested that the GOP stop talking about rape in order to end this.  That will just leave the label stuck in place.  What the GOP needs to do is talk about rap more frequently, talk about every possible consequence, how likely pregnancy will be, how likely STDs are, what acts aren't really rape, who should pay for rape kits at the hospital. and so on.  The GOP needs to get out the message over and over to counteract this liberal press conspiracy.

It is a crime. If he had his way, it wouldn't be a crime.  That's how crazy this guy is. He's trying to decriminalize rape, simply because the couple is married.

There was a law that prevented you from being prosecuted if you raped your wife. There was a vote to over turn that (which passed) and he was against the overturning of the law.
