BuzzFeed: Articles written by an autist who wasn't quite up to YouTube comment standards.

2014-01-15 10:39:12 AM
No he isn't.

2014-01-15 10:57:08 AM
This was particularly awful, even for a Buzzfeed article.

2014-01-15 11:01:20 AM
Yep, it makes even the worst Chuck Norris jokes I read back in the day sound like they were written by a team of Steve Martin, Louis CK, and Chris Rock.

2014-01-15 11:03:36 AM
Yeah, I expect absolutely nothing from Buzzfeed, and somehow this managed to not even live up to that standard.

2014-01-15 11:07:38 AM
It's good to know that even if you're in a horrible accident after which surgeons need to remove most of your brain, you can still get a job as a writer for Buzzfeed.

2014-01-15 11:20:08 AM
"Article" sucks, but the hat and blue jacket are pretty sweet.

Radak: "Article" sucks, but the hat and blue jacket are pretty sweet.

I liked all the pictures climbing the walls in his office, and the hat on the baby.

The article, on the whole, was more bizarre than "bad," per se.  Like it was out of Tiger Beat or something.

/but also bad

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat: This was particularly awful, even for a Buzzfeed article.

I pretty much wanted to say this, verbatim. I thought Fark was labeling its sponsored links.

2014-01-15 11:34:10 AM
If people stop clicking on them, they may eventually disappear.

2014-01-15 11:37:40 AM
Well, I liked his hats.

2014-01-15 11:38:20 AM
I hope this is another shiatty sponsored link that slipped through the no comments crack. BuzzFeed needs to be burned to the ground and its land salted so no shiat can grow there for years. If BuzzFeed was an ice cream flavor, it would be pralines and dick.

2014-01-15 11:39:51 AM
the guy is probably awesome in his own right.

but that article was a poor attempt to retell flaccid chuck norris jokes

2014-01-15 11:42:07 AM
He's a Tea Partier who takes a hardline stance against drugs (I.E. he's for wasting billions trying to fight drugs), and he's trying to get parodies banned from YouTube

He also rejected his pension but then during the government shutdown kept collecting his paycheck.

He also made a motion to suspend House rules to pass the NET act which says you don't need to have any kind of financial gain to be prosecuted of copyright violation.

Sounds like a pretty typical douchebag old person who is incapable of keeping with the times and puts on kneepads to appease his financial overlords.

Hyperbole. Not even once. Or I'll kill you.

I got more of a Bill Braskey vibe, but not even funny in that way.

2014-01-15 11:47:50 AM
Not only is the "article" glaringly bad, it was bad when Buzzfeed first ran it about a month and a half ago.

FARK: The place to go for old recycled Buzzfeed crap.

2014-01-15 11:49:25 AM
Old bastard has that, "I just shat in my Depends" look.

Fark you, subby.

Howard Coble is 5'2" maybe 4'10" in this picture... truly a badass

2014-01-15 11:49:36 AM
They could have just posted the pictures, in slide show format, and it would have been better than that garbage.

This article looks like Combs' grandson just found the internet.

He's also retiring after this term.  The sad thing is, he's not the worst of the NC Republicans.  He's less damaging to the public good than, say, Renee Ellmers or Virginia Foxx.  But his district (NC-6) is Pinehurst, Asheboro, and rural areas outside of Greensboro.

This area has the potential to give us a truly brain-dead teahadist.  Remember, Roawn County is the home of  those shiatstains that tried to introduce a bill making Christianity the state religion of North Carolina.

As someone from N.C.   Uhhh, no.

At 82 you should be retired and enjoying life outside of public service.   No ifs ands or buts.

He's a politician from North Carolina....  So, I'm going to go with "gibbering simpleton" instead of "badass."

I'm more horrified that NC Republicans can look at NC District 12 and with a straight face claim it's not gerrymandering.

Vodka Zombie: He's a politician from North Carolina....  So, I'm going to go with "gibbering simpleton" instead of "badass."

My grandfather died about 5 years ago. My brother and I coined a term for a common thing he did: while standing in a group of people talking, he'd sometimes take a few steps back, blast out a loud fart (he was slightly deaf; I think he got by on lip-reading for his last 8 years), wait half a second, then rejoin the conversation. We called it "Grampa's 5-Step Drop".

THAT is badass. Howard Coble is a set-in-his-ways dingbat. Who likes boats and hats.

No, this week they're using it to claim that it's proof both sides do it (so vote, etc.).

I just want to call attention to the fact that there is some one, out there (waving hand dismissively), who is getting paid to write that crap. The only job requirement, it seems, is the ability to use MS Paint.

And after that sinks in, I'll bring up the fact that this "writer" then turned the finished work over to his or her boss and said, "Here's the latest submission I have for you."  That individual... that person's supervisor and probably some big-wig at BuzzFeed looked at it, read it, and said out loud without a trace of sarcasm, "Nice... I like it! Great work making 90% of the jokes about his hat and blue jacket."

These two people will probably fist bump. And knowing all this should make you all die a little inside.

Was hoping for an inspiring story of a lifelong congressman, left disappointed.

Thanks Buzzfeed.

That's an old map the new 6th is parts of Greensboro and rural counties on the VA border.  Surry, Stokes, Rockingham, Caswell, Person and parts of Granville.  As well as some other randomlycarefully selected areas of Alamance, Orange and Durham counties.

I won't be sad to see Coble go but I am terrified about who might replace him.

Yep... Even if the "badass" pictures had been interesting, I would have felt like it was worth my time, but it's like someone needed to meet a deadline, randomly pieced the guy out of a hat and then did a bunch of GIS for this dude, making the rest of the shiat up as they went. Too bad, too. The guy probably has some actual interesting shiat.

I love NC-4's "liberal containment zone" while republicans pretend that all the gerrymandering they did can be explained with minority containment zone 13, which they can blame on democrats(for some reason).

//execute every gerrymanderer.  Seriously, if you see someone who draws district boundaries, kill them.
