I'm 16% Conservative!

And as such, I have no idea what percentage of Liberal I am.
Need somebody to unskew this shiat right here.

2014-01-14 05:16:04 PM

NewWorldDan: I'm just happy that they had a 'Libertarian' option under the 'how did we do' section.

That part was garbled for me and I'm using Firefox.

2014-01-14 05:17:18 PM
86% Libulardo

14% Sister-farker

2014-01-14 05:19:14 PM
A lot of the people in the comments identify as liberal, but scored about 75-78% conservative (including myself).

It seems fairly likely that the media doesn't understand what makes someone a conservative and what makes someone a liberal.

2014-01-14 05:19:17 PM
82% libby lib lib.

2014-01-14 05:19:41 PM
Those questions didn't talk about Freedom enough.

2014-01-14 05:20:03 PM
I "slightly" agreed or disagreed with most of the statements. That made me come out 83% liberal. The only way to come out a moderate, which is what I consider myself, would be to split the answers right down the middle. In other words, someone who slightly agrees with the liberal-leaning answers comes out just as extreme as the person who strongly agrees with them. The test would have made more sense with just three options -- agree, disagree, neither.

I call shenanigans.

2014-01-14 05:20:07 PM
82% liberal, Radical Centrist (former registered Republican, proudly "Decline to State").  That test should have made me out to be more moderate based upon my answers, but I guess Firefox and thinking the concept of the nation-state is an anachronism are filthy commie ideals...

2014-01-14 05:20:41 PM
I'm a lib (and proud of it) and they scored me 66% con.
/because I like a clean desk and action movies.

2014-01-14 05:20:51 PM
82% liberal.

2014-01-14 05:22:44 PM
It says I'm 68% conservative, which is news to me. Though obviously, anything less than 100% is a RINO.

2014-01-14 05:23:06 PM
Why wasn't there a csenario like "You are likely to jump to prosecutorial conclusions when a member of the party you least favor is accused of misconduct."?

Noticed the same thing.  No way all my 'meh's make me that liberal.  I'm a small business owner, Schwarzenegger, Brown, McCain, and Obama voting centrist.

Although, I AM probably at least 82% against whatever the hell the GOP is doing these days.  Gawd, those farkers are wrong in the head since Rove got ahold of them.  But I'm definitely not 82% in support of the Democrats.  Even if they're basically the same party as the Republicans of the 90s (who weren't much different from the Neo-liberal Democrats of the 90s)...

2014-01-14 05:23:40 PM
67% Conservative.

A lib would have spelled that right

God Is My Co-Pirate: sushi pizza

Shut up and take my money!

2014-01-14 05:26:33 PM
I'm a big ol' lib, and the test rated me 70% liberal.  However, for most of these questions I only slightly agreed or disagreed.  I think it was the answer to the porn question that really tipped the scale.

The fusion cuisine question and the children's respect for authority question were hilarious.

JusticeandIndependence: A lib would have spelled that right

Would lol again.

2014-01-14 05:27:38 PM
What a stupid quiz.

2014-01-14 05:27:58 PM

Dr Dreidel: Apparently, liking action movies over documentaries makes me conservative, as does my sense of pride in my nation's history (although even that is a loaded question - what I am proud of is that we un-farked things. Some of these were things we farked up in the first place, and some of those have yet to be un-farked, but "somewhat agree" doesn't really tell the whole story).

// liking cats is "liberal"?
// I guess conservatives hate the pussy THAT much?

Now that's harsh!

2014-01-14 05:28:14 PM
You're 27% conservative, 73% liberal.

was probably the respect for authority question.

and Times Square vs. the MET!?  i will visit the MET every time i visit Manhattan, Times Square? not so much, there's plenty else to enjoy than that place.

2014-01-14 05:28:19 PM
66% liberal, 34% conservative? Nope.

2014-01-14 05:28:55 PM
75% Liberal but I vote conservative.

Trying a fusion restaurant and paying more in taxes are too very different things.

/Your survey sucks!

You're 17% conservative, 83% liberal.

2014-01-14 05:29:40 PM
You're 43% conservative, 57% liberal.

I'd go with that.

need more financial questions to push me into the conservative column

2014-01-14 05:30:44 PM

Calmamity: Cyberluddite: 83% liberal.  Seems a bit low.  Usually I get closer to 100% on these things, unless there are questions about guns (which there weren't here), since I'm pretty middle of the road on gun issues.

Yeah, I scored 80% liberal, but a gun question or two would have thrown that way off.

Except there's only 12 questions so it probably would have only added 8% to your conservatism.

You're 18% conservative, 82% liberal.

2014-01-14 05:32:31 PM

Glockenspiel Hero: Mid 70s liberal according to the stupid poll, and that answer was probably about 20% of the conservative tilt.

What a mid-70s liberal might look like:

Must have been the internet browser question.

palladiate: I think kids should question any authority that's questionable. I'm pretty sure the Tea Party thrives on questioning government authority and they're not liberal.

Was it question or respect? I swear it was respect. You can question authority while being respectful. I want my son to know that it's okay to disagree with authority but tht doesn't give you carté blanche to scream 'FARK THE POLICE' when you see a police officer.

2014-01-14 05:34:10 PM
You're 25% conservative, 75% liberal.

I guess that's about right.

Apparently I'm 81% liberal. Eh, I'd have put it at 60/40, I think.

I think a lot of people who call themselves "liberal" because they vote straight ticket Democrat have conservative personalities or tendencies. If I were to extend that to something like a city, I'll use DC as an example. The place is run by so-called liberals and 90% of them vote for the Democratic party whenever they get the chance, but the city is pretty conservative to me. People dress conservatively (even in the summer). You can't legally bring a cooler of beer to the park. Liquor stores close at 10 or 11 pm. Convenience can't sell liquor and can't sell beer after 10 pm. The couple of headshops that were open got raided and intimidated out of business. And just overall, living in the city you get the impression of "conservative."

2014-01-14 05:36:09 PM
Superficial and ridiculous. This quiz wasn't even close for me.

2014-01-14 05:36:10 PM

Lando Lincoln: Must have been the internet browser question.

I would think that question would be a tech savvy question. More tech savvy the more liberal.

2014-01-14 05:36:37 PM

nmrsnr: I had issue with a lot of those questions

Yea, I kinda felt the same way... hence at least half, maybe more, of my answers were 'moderately agree/disagree' area to allow for various circumstances under the umbrella question.

2014-01-14 05:38:11 PM

what_now: Ok, "are you proud of your country's history?" is an absurd question.

That should have been worded, "are you proud of your country's history or do you actually know what your country has done?"

Going to the moon doesn't outweigh slaughtering injuns.

2014-01-14 05:39:02 PM
83% libby lib, 10% extrasolar reptilian, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple.

2014-01-14 05:39:48 PM

what_now: what_now: Ok, "are you proud of your country's history?" is an absurd question.  I'm proud of pioneering spirit that explored the west, went to the moon, etc. I'm proud of the Bill of Rights and the oldest democracy in the world.

Less proud of the Trail or Tears, the slave trade, the Japanese Internet camps, Dick Cheny, etc.

That question is ONLY for conservatives and their complete lack of nuance.

Autocorrect is a dick.

I'm pretty sure I went to one of those internet camps as a kid for a week.  Except there weren't any Japanese people, just pasty white kids.

Well not when you just see them, but there's definitely a time and place for screaming fark the police.

2014-01-14 05:40:05 PM
92% liberal. I apparently like dogs which is conservative (though only slightly - I love both puppehs and kittehs), I think kids should have a strong bit authority (comes from being a teacher), and I'm proud of my country's history (our sins are mostly outbalanced by the level good we've done).

2014-01-14 05:40:07 PM
Keeping your desk "neat" is conservative? Okayy

2014-01-14 05:41:52 PM

Earl Green: 82% liberal, but still would rather have a steak than whatever the fark fusion cuisine is.  Gol-durn hipsters.

Yep. This 73% liberal loves our history, thinks American lives are worth more than other foreigners, loves dogs and hates fusion cuisine.

2014-01-14 05:42:32 PM
68% liberal -- which I would like to think is true.

but pretty much every other test claims I'm the libiest lib -- yadda yadda
