if only there was some way for a single woman to terminate an unwanted pregnancy .

So...OK with gay marriage, then?  I really wish these guys would make their self-contradictions a little more faceted, for the sake of sportsmanship if nothing else.

What blows my mind is there are still women who vote for these guys.

Ghastly: if only there was some way for a single woman to terminate an unwanted pregnancy .

Or a free way to prevent it, if one has even free insurance, now that the ACA has guaranteed that right.

And yet they are anti birth control and abortion.

They aren't wrong. Single mothers and the often deadbeat fathers they sleep with create children that do not have the resources they need.

The answer is not marriage, the answer is inexpensive( preferably free) birth control and quality sex education.

Yes, there are exception(Presidents Obama and Clinton come to mind) but the average single mother struggles and far to many live in poverty. People that like to blanketly lionize single motherhood are just as bad as people who think the answer is marriage. These people are not ready for a child or marriage.

There is no way to "win" this.
Single mother - irresponsible. Shouldn't have had sex
Poor and married - irresponsible. You shouldn't have kids until you can afford it. But don't use birth control.... so... don't know what to tell ya.

No matter what if you are "poor" it doesn't matter if you are single or otherwise you will be demonized by the holier than though religious right no matter what you do or how you live.

It should be illegal for women to raise a child without being married to an employed male. Until these women take care of that, the children will be taken away and used as janitors at the local schools, where they will learn the importance of work.

You have to show a pay stub above a certain amount in order to get a sex license. Unlicensed sex will result in jail time. Licenses have to be renewed every quarter in case you fail at capitalism and job creators are forced to let you go.

Annual and lifetime licenses are available for purchase.

Three kids from three different dads (the first one gets a child support premium) then live someplace where the cost of living is low.

No marriage needed.

For decades one of the unintended and perverse consequences of our welfare system was the discouragement of marriage by cutting the benefits of single mothers who chose to wed the baby's father.  We've only begun to undo the damage that caused.

The problem is in statistics,The word implies doesn't mean what it means in common language. In statistics it would have to be the direct cause.

The problem with lazy people that post that image is you can't just chant that. On its own it means nothing. There is a link between single parenthood and poverty. Unless you can show that there is some outside factor, chanting that is just noise in place of an argument.

And people like you are the reason we trot out that XKCD strip (or the global warming vs. pirates graph), because there's always that person who has to pipe up with, "b-b-b-but there is a link!."  We're all aware that there is a link between single parenthood and poverty but, surprise of surprises, it's a lot more complex than one directly causing the other.  There's also a link between the asphalt in a city getting soft and an increase in ice cream sales; that doesn't mean that either one of them causes the other.  It's simplistic turd-muffins like Rubio, and their 'concern troll' defenders like you, that give this kind of bullshiat rhetoric strength.

It's as though 10,000,000 dirt poor women had access to $1,000,000 each to take and completely burn all that capital by using it on trinkets we can't see them owning or using.

/Actually, if they actually did use that money, the flow of that money would have helped improve the economy, so it must be that they took all that money and just stashed them in a black box, then took that box and threw it into Mount Doom or something.

//The worst thing for the economy has always been the hoarding of money.

The "Obamacare Is Worse Than 9/11" campaign was a moderate success. Now the facts are rolling in, costs are going down and enrollment is up, so they'll have to find some new outrage again in a few months.

Timing puffed-up scandals with election cycles is the only science they believe in.
