Lazy, 6 figure slacker with a BMW and fur coats.  It would seem her views upon academia are somewhat different from the board of education's.

Doesn't the DOE perform audits or walkthroughs?

Far Rock is the asshole end of New York, far, far, far, far, far, far away from just about anything.

Assuming the NY Post isn't exaggerating, how is it possible that a principle has enough power over teachers that none have complained?  If this is true, the union officials, school headquarters officials and the entire office staff needs to be fired immediately.

What they leave out (which was in the hard copy paper and the link below), the principle has the children pay $110.00 a year for them to attend a 'prom' where the girls are supposed to wear white wedding like dresses and boys are to where tuxedos with tails...clothes she picks out. The principle dresses up as well....

But you still can't drink a Big Gulp in NYC nor operate a horse drawn buggy in Central Park.

Priorities!  Priorities!!  Priorities!!!

Not the least of problems with this school or principal....how about sexual assault of a 2nd grader?

Haaaaahaaaahahahaha. This is a SCHOOL we are talking about here.

Welcome to Detroit, Far Rockaway. You may as well just move to Ferndale or Royal Oak now, as it will NEVER get any better. It only gets worse.

Principle:  a fundamental truth or proposition that serves as the foundation for a system of belief or behavior or                 for a chain of reasoning.

Just come people, we're smarter than this.

And yeah, this beeotch needs to be fired.

That's got to be some kind of record.

They get their money and don't have to do any real work, thus it's a win/win as far as the teachers are concerned.  But, remember when they go on strike, they're doing it for the children.

RodneyToady: Doesn't the DOE perform audits or walkthroughs?

Audits? Walkthroughs? We don't need no stinking audits or walkthroughs!

I bet they don't get accredited either. It's probably against union by-laws or something.

/ someone should post the "How to fire a teacher in NYC" graphic...

Was it the school these guys went to?

2014-01-13 04:42:14 PM
Well, those kids aren't going anywhere anyway. Why waste money on them when we can spend it on some rich children who have potential?

2014-01-13 04:42:22 PM
Kids in Queens still show up for school?

2014-01-13 04:44:17 PM
They should just hogtie her in her fur, and leave her in the vacant lot behind the school.  Rats would dine well, that night.

Fired? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to diminish the waste of school's like this, but every I read about a modern horror school like this, I think of the school scenes in Great Expectations.

The past wasn't much better, if that's any consolation.

I picture Stand and Deliver.

Then again I just spent the last weekend teaching my stepdaughter about multiplying positives and negatives by constantly repeating "A negative times a negative equals a positive! Again!"

Man, don't you start to get the idea that somebody at the NY Post has it in for PS 106?

Nor the writer, I dare say.

I taught at a school that was 99.7% free lunch. We had 2 students out of about 600 that were not on free lunch.

Is this anywhere near Knuckle Beach?  I hear some celebrities and 1%ers tried an intervention there once.  It didn't go over well.

I typically regard the post as a decent sports page and that's about it, but every now and then they get it right with a story like this. Of course they limit their targets based on the newscorp bias, but they still serve a purpose. This coont should be fired, fined and jailed.

I have an acquaintance who tried to blow the whistle on some of that. He got squashed like a bug and left education all together. The investigators came out to see him and what he documented when it blew up.

My wife, a teacher in New Jersey, said she doesn't see how this would be possible. At least she said it would be impossible in New Jersey - there's tons of oversight and regulations and people who would catch onto this right away.
