Seldom have so many people held office that were openly opposed to doing their damn jobs.

You can bet they'll cash their government pension checks as if they had earned them.

People make jokes about how Reagan or Nixon would be RINOs today, but I think it's literally true.

Joke's on them because McCain has already been on the LOPWANCATGOPATA for years.

Nixon?  He created OSHA.  He created the EPA.  These things alone make him the pinkest pinko commie that ever commied.

In fairness, as a former resident of Arizona, these people are f*cking crazy...

Next step: officially banning "the democrat party" in the state of Arizona.

Just think; there's a decent chance Steven Seagal will be the next Governor of Arizona. Can you say "Arizona State Director of Public Safety Joe Arpaio"?

2014-01-13 03:53:49 PM
Everyone who uses the term RINO are the actual RINOs. Real Republicans wouldn't be so f'd up. Bad, but not this bad. This party needs to go the way of the Whigs and the Tories.

2014-01-13 03:55:59 PM
But remember, the GOP Civil War is a lie told by the Liebrul MSM.

Isn't this Sheriff Joe's county?  That would explain a lot.

I'm going to enjoy the day that Republicans keep spouting crap and no one listens to them.

/keep farkin' that chicken~!

This is hilarious.

By all means, GOP, continue to purge the impure.  This can only lead to electoral success.

OK, Mexico, final offer. We'll throw in Arizona as well as Texas.

Is it funny, or genuinely frightening? "...obligated to fully support our Party..."? "...until he is consistently champions our Party's Platform and values..."?

Pants full of macaroni!!: Next step: officially banning "the democrat party" in the state of Arizona.

Well why wouldn't they, if they're willing to pull shiat like this?

2014-01-13 03:59:06 PM
Arizona, what the hell happened?  We knew you were a bit crazy.  We just thought of you as the old half drunk uncle we avoided at family reunions.  But now you've gone and tried to set yourself up as the Florida of the west.  My older teabagger relatives moved there, so I guess that's become a big demographic for you.  Is it early onset immigrant related dementia or post Obamalection depression?  There's help out here.  We hope you get it.

"As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform and its candidates."

So let us commence in attacking one of our most senior and successful leaders.

I'm a libby lib lib and I'm encouraging you to STOP this insanity, GOP!  Stop getting rid of the RINOs!  Whatever will us Democrats do if you get rid of the moderates who work with us?

Of course, I could be lying, since I'm a lib.  But then I could be lying about being a liar.  I could be doing this just to stoke the self-destructive fires in the GOP.

That's it!  I'm actually doing this on purpose!

Or am I?

It's nice that they're no longer even pretending to care about supporting the country.

Can you imagine what would happen today if a GOP candidate espoused immigration reform, supported a foreign labor movement, or installed a regulatory agency that kept Job Creators from destroying the environment?

And don't even get me started on that commie Eisenhower with his massive infrastructure investments.

These people are totem followers. They worship the idea of Reagan. They love Nixon because he pissed off the libs. They miss Bush even while they deny that he was their president. They don't look at politicians as people or parties as groups with agendas. They look at politicians as avatars of their values or the values they despise, and parties as flags to march under. There is no substance under what they believe, only the self-assuredness that their side is the right side. They follow the idea of freedom, liberty, and America as names and labels to wear, not as actual concepts with definitions and consequences.

The full resolution below, as quoted by KXNV:
As leaders in the Republican Party, we are obligated to fully support our Party, platform and its candidates. Only in times of great crisis or betrayal is it necessary to publicly censure out leaders. Today we are faced with both. For too long we have waited, hoping Senator McCain would return to our Party's values on his own. That has not happened. So with sadness and humility we rise and declare:

    Whereas Senator McCain has amassed a long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with Liberal Democrats, such as Amnesty, funding for ObamaCare, the debt ceiling, assaults on the Constitution and 2nd amendment, and has continued to support liberal nominees;

Where as this record as been disastrous and harmful to Arizona and the United States; and,

Whereas Senator McCain has campaigned as a conservative and made promises during his re-election campaigns, such as the needed and welcomed promise to secure out borders and finish the border fence, only to quickly flip-fop on those promises; and

Whereas McCain has abandoned our core values and has been eerily silent against Liberals, yet publicly reprimands Conservatives in his own Party; therefore

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Maricopa County Republican leadership censures Senator McCain for his continued disservice to our State and Nation, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that until he is consistently champions our Party's Platform and values, we, the Republican leadership in Arizona will no longer support, campaign for or endorse John McCain as our U.S. Senator.

These TPers are mad at Captain Benghazi bringer of Palin for being too liberal.

McCain farked up when he tried to pander to these asshats, he should have called them out right on the bat and kept at it. There's no pleasing these morans, they do not live in the real world.

He was last reelected to the US Senate by a majority of the State of Arizona's voting population in 2010, after he voted on ACA.

It might mean not supporting candidates like JD Hayworth and Chris "Minuteman" Simcox in the primaries, but I'm pretty sure you can get new blood (even new Republican blood) in that seat.

// and no, your mission is not to support your party, it's to faithfully execute your oath of office

Yeah. Reagan believed he was president of all Americans (and not just Republicans). That alone would cause a riot.

Wow, it wasn't even a close vote, either: 1,150 to 351.

Any reasonable, moderate Republicans want to explain to me again how totally reasonable and moderate most Republicans still are, despite the "small faction" of vocal nutjobs currently running the party?

But with Sheriff Joe and Jan Brewer they sure do make a formidable challenge to Florida for their own tag on Fark.
