Okay mods, here's how you do this.

Green this. Let it go a day. Then remove it from the main page (or entertainment) and green it again for the exact same time as the day before. People will swear it's a repeat, but be unable to find it.

Keep doing this until it premieres.

I'm . . . OK with that.
It brilliant.

Of course anything standing next to "They're making a 'Groundhog Day' musical.  " looks brilliant.
Why does Broadway want to Gaywash anything that comes out of Hollywood?

The movie was great but it really only worked because of Bill. Maybe I'm the wrong one to ask because I hate musicals.

Imagine going to the theater to hear them sing "I've Got You Babe" every fifteen minutes.

Imagine how the singers must feel after a month.

What a waste of time! I mean, for someone else that would be an incredible waste of time. It's so bold of them to choose to do that. It's incredible; they must be very very strong people.

Bad bad bad bad idea.  This was a VERY tricky concept to get right, and the movie miraculously nailed it.

The pacing has to be SO perfect to avoid boring everyone to tears.

Making this into an entertaining in a stage show (let alone a musical?) is going to take herculean efforts that put "Spider-Man What Is Arachne Doing In This Story" to shame.

How are they going to handle the montage-style that makes up a lot of the humor?

*alarm clock*

or

*alarm clock*
the girl slaps him

 etc

What do I know, the only musicals I can watch are The Blues Brothers and South Park, both moviies

And it's going to suck.

I doubt this will make it past previews.

I liked the movie, but as a staged musical? That concept is shakier than Michael J. Fox having a seizure during an earthquake.

So there's only one song and dance number that just keeps reprising over and over again? This isn't an adaptation, it's a cost-cutting scam.

That movie is one of the most unintentionally philosophical movies that have ever been made.

Apparently that was the source of the rift between Murray and Ramis. Ramis wanted it to be more of a pure comedy and Murray wanted things to be deeper and more profound.

Gonna be a really inventive staging to cut from kid-falling-from-tree to old-ladies-with-flat-tire to homeless-guy, over and over and over again.

Really?  Wow, it would have sucked eggs as a "pure comedy".  I didn't know Murray had that much control.

Don't you get it? They'll work everything out on stage on opening night. Performers doing the same routine again and again till they get it right, see? It's a sucker ploy to sell tickets to rehearsals instead of a finalized production.

Hell, instead of casting real dancers and singers, they should just take volunteers from the audience. They're going to need some kind of crazy gimmick to keep this dumb idea afloat.

Doing it like the Reduced Shakespeare Company with plenty of improv and audience calls could possibly work, in a small venue and with a really sharp cast.  But not as a traditional musical.

People think that all there is to writing a screenplay is taking a book and adding stage instructions. But it's a HECK of a lot more complicated than that
