If you live in the American Midwest or East Coast, you may want to hold off on putting away your winter gear.

Really?  Well, thanks for stopping me, Daily Mail.  Because I typically put away my winter gear in the middle of farking January.

Buried at the bottom of the article:

'This next main arctic blast will not rival, nor will be as extensive as the event this past week,' he continued.
Unlike the last push of cold air, weather experts expect temperatures to stay above zero in most locations in the Ohio Valley, central Appalachians, the northern Plains and the Upper Midwest.

Uh... ok.

Call me when it starts snowing in July.

Gonna be in the 30s all week in Boston according to the NWS. Maybe the upper 20s next Monday.

Think I'll trust their predictions before the Daily Fail.

I hope this is better than that first cartoon polar bear movie.

Tag is appropriate. That is a sad polar vortex. Kind of like calling a low pressure system a "cyclone."

Wait a minute, are you trying to say that in winter sometimes air from the arctic circle pushes down south into Southern Canada and the Northern United States and makes the temperatures colder than normal?  No.  Farking. Way.  !   My mind is like seriously blown by this.  This must be a result of climate change, because colder than normal temperatures during winter simply do not normally happen!

It also makes every bit as good of toilet paper as the sears catalog.

Anyway I sorta want some snow this year, it would be nice.

Despite the rumors and demands by the media of the National Weather Service, they aren't planning on starting the official naming of polar vortexes until the 2014-2015 winter season.

More proof Fark gets $$$ from Daily Fail links.

Can anyone seriously give a reason why a British rag giving news about U.S. weather was greenlit? And it isn't even farking accurate.

Ice piles up in the Delaware River near Trenton!?!?! I don't think I'm blaming that on winter, if ya know what I mean.

tinfoil-hat maggie: Anyway I sorta want some snow this year, it would be nice.

Where do you live?  I can ship you some of the grey and yellow colored frozen shiat we have here in New York.  Snow is cool for like an hour and then it becomes a frozen liability.

2014-01-13 03:17:34 AM
In other words....it's still January

Huck And Molly Ziegler: Ice piles up in the Delaware River near Trenton!?!?! I don't think I'm blaming that on winter, if ya know what I mean.

There is actually a scientific reason for that.  The rivers drops 8ft at Trenton. Below Trenton the river has tides and is a slow moving wide river, above Trenton is a fast(ish) flowing typical mountain river.

The Daily Fail strikes again.  A low temperature of -12 F at International Falls and 14 F at Chicago is near seasonal norms.

So, it's not the middle of May yet, is what you're telling us. Thanks for the heads-up on that.

We've got to come up with something other than "electric bugaloo" for a sequel tag line. It's just worn thin.

Sad tag is because Al Gore warned us this would happen, and we didn't listen.

/global cooling is caused by global warming
//soon we'll be having killer frosts literally chasing people through hallways, and the only hope for survival will be slamming the door and finding a solar-powered electric stove to drive it back

You can pretty much take anything past day 2 and throw it out. Those auto generated forecasts are utter crap. But either way, pretty normal for, you know, winter.

Nobody cares about him, only that Reagan made a joke about it that spoiled what should have been a Democrat triumph and swung enough of the popular vote to get Bush elected.

Wow a low of 3 degrees here in Minneapolis. I haven't seen it that cold up here....besides the other 26 NIGHTS this winter. (I counted)
