Powered human flight began only 10 years before she was born, women demonstrated for the right to vote when she was born, WW1 started when she was in diapers, Prohibition began when she was a small child and ended 2 years before the Rural Electrification Act passed when she was 21, when she was in grade school, most kids walked to school, some rode a horse, and most went without electricity or indoor plumbing, the great depression started and Hoover Damn was built when she was a teen, WW2 started when she was a young adult, she saw the creation and growth of the middle class, she saw the first human object orbit the Earth when she was 43, Kennedy was assented when she was 49, and the Civil Rights Act passed when she was 50, she watched the first human step on the moon at 55, and in her 50s she saw the British Invasion, hippies, and Kent State, Nixon resigned when she was 60, etc, etc, etc. She's lived through an amazing time. I'm jealous of her students.
