Only if we give him an Assassin's Creed style hidden blade and offer him a couple mill to shank the ONLY fat dude in NK!

2014-01-12 12:45:39 PM
He said proceeds from the game would go to a charity for the deaf in North Korea.

[quizzicaldog]

Yeah, that's gonna happen.

2014-01-12 01:34:41 PM
Uh...not only is this old news, but the new news is some of the video of Rodman drunk and rambling from N. Korea.

2014-01-12 01:48:58 PM
then again HBO is free this weekend, so the NKs have probably seen that episode of VICE, and the guy that narrates probably has a death sentence already if he tries to go back there.

2014-01-12 01:49:02 PM
It's not like he would make a fool of himself or possibly do harm to anyone while in North Korea.  I say let his basketball diplomacy roll.

2014-01-12 01:49:58 PM
This is just too weird for me.  Vin Baker?

Welcome to a week ago, subby/modmin.

It means they will give the money to the guards who cut people's ears off in the prison camps.

I can only imagine the chicks an booze they are hooking him up with. I bet he walks around with one strapped to each leg trading off on bj duties.

2014-01-12 01:53:57 PM
Their craziness seems to consist solely of bluster.  Yawn.

Best Korea will launch a missile into the Vatican, causing cattle to stamped those inside. That is how Best Korea will when our hearts.

I found this old news funny as the latest news http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/12/world/asia/north-korea-charles-smith/ind ex.html?hpt=hp_t2">http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/12/world/asia/north-kor ea-charles-smith/ind ex.html?hpt=hp_t2 states "That's the date that was set. I didn't know it was his birthday," he said in the half-hour interview. "And it didn't matter to me once I found out that it was his birthday."

The old article linked states "Dennis Rodman said Monday that a game he and other former National Basketball Association players are planning in North Korea will be a "birthday present" for one of their most unlikely fans: leader Kim Jong Un. "

Just how does dictator dick taste, Dennis?

Yeah, this is some fresh, week-old Fark they're serving up here today.

You know, after 60+ years of no real positive forward movement, I'm willing to give Mr. Rodman some slack. He can't really do worse than Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush-41, Clinton, Bush-43, and Obama have done in normalizing relations or otherwise fixing the problems on the Korean peninsula.

If our most esteemed men can't make it work, then perhaps the distinguished gentleman from Solaxiant 9 can.

2014-01-12 01:57:23 PM
I mean the video has been everywhere for the last few days and not a single mention on Fark. Then they greenlight this story from before the visit?

2014-01-12 01:58:27 PM
I am afraid that Dennis Rodman may start to lose some credibility over this North Korea business.

2014-01-12 01:59:37 PM
Anybody else think he's a CIA plant?

2014-01-12 01:59:45 PM
Rodman's going to end up "disappeared" at some point, and he'll have no one to blame but himself.

2014-01-12 02:01:04 PM
He is donating the money so North Korean kids can go to camp!

/to see their parents

AgentPothead: Anybody else think he's a CIA plant?

He probably has some super-spy electronics connected to all that shiat in his face.

2014-01-12 02:03:40 PM
Quick! Revoke his passport before he comes back.

Son of a biatch. They still have free HBO weekends? I haven't had free HBO weekend since, like, 1990. Man, those days were the best.

This is my view as well. Even though Rodman is almost as crazy as the North Koreans this is still better than having no contact at all. If this celebrity worship opens up NK even slightly it's a good thing.

Apparently you didn't look at the photo in the article. The sports minister Son Kwang Ho is definitely fat.

Didn't our diplomatic relations with Mao's China begin with table tennis matches?

some body said if you have a certain kind of cable service and decoder box. if you unplug your box before they send the signal to turn off the pay channels after the free period, you will get to keep seeing HBO/MAX for free. don't know if that is true though.

Let him do what he wants in Best Korea.  The worst that can happen is that he disappears, and nothing of value is lost. The best is that he models western culture (abeit to an extreme) and people over there finally start pushing back against the establishment.  Personally, I don't think the peasants over there even know who he is or that he is even over there, but any exposure is better than none.

So you've been paying for HBO for 24 years?

Enjoy it today, because your time is soon, point-zero-one-percenter.

Yeah but I'd venture a guess that our representative that time wasn't both crazy and retarded.

It used to be true back in the day. Our scumbag next-door neighbors physically altered the cable box outside one night and for a few years we were getting free premium channels. Of course, we didn't say shiat about it to anyone.

Once the cable service in the area transitioned to the computer-controlled digital service (where everything was done by computer on their end), those days were gone forever.

But if there are any cable services in particular areas that don't do that and continue using the old decoder box/filter, I would think it would still be possible to sabotage it to get free premium service.

Actually, because DirecTV isn't legally authorized to provide service to Canada, it isn't illegal to pirate/steal service there, and there is a huge market for illegally modified receivers and all kinds of shady doings there. It's all very interesting to read about, and still going on today, legit businesses selling illicit products and services and DirecTV battling back.

Yeah, he already apologized for the drunken, rambling video.

AgentPothead: Anybody else think he's a CIA plant?

If he is, he's playing the drunken American part way too well.  So far, Kim isn't thinking it or the new news would be Rodman being fed to dogs.

Another reason to want to move to Canada.

I was Rodmans neighbor in Newport back in the day; wandered in to one of his parties once; rubbed elbows with him at Cal Beach Sushi. He just likes to do things his own way. I seriously doubt he's really capable of making things any worse in the world, so I'd suggest we all just take a deep breath and have a good laugh over the fact that it ruffles feathers. He looks good in feathers too.

Don't think Rodman is going to do any damage, unlike Carter. Let him distract the dictator.

Maybe that's why it clearly says "Duplicate of another approved link: 8090004 (07 Jan 2014 01:54 PM)" at the top of the page?
