Thank you, that IS a valid point. Let's keep the issues clear and separate. Yes?

Not sure why they have ANY listeners. They have all, at one point or another, melted down in a most fabulous manner. On air, at that.

:::AHEM:::

Boy you sure proved that us liberals are all crazy by posting that picture of a guy who was a single term municipal official of a mid-size city 15 years ago.

Are you REALLY that dumb? He had 4 (count with me to it now, 1 2 3 4) terms.

Yeah, it's just like those New York pussies to totally freak out when their mentally-ill neighbors start waving their guns around while screaming about the government.

It really is not acceptable to meander about your yard brandishing a firearm.
Very important item: Williamsville looks to be fairly populated and suburban.
That is to say most yards border each other fairly closely.
Having some guy next door tramp about his yard with a firearm would most certainly get my attention.

It is. It's an inner-ring suburb of Buffalo. It's a fairly wealthy area, so the homes are nice, but they don't have a lot of land. If your neighbor was stomping around their yard with a gun, you'd notice.

Awww... the false equivalency gambit!  Just because the entire right wing is chock full of lunatics doesn't mean the left has ANY lunatics.  Face it.  Your party has gone off the mental deep end.  It's sad, I know.  You want to believe in hairbrained nonsense but people keep throwing you in mental asylums because of it.  Why isn't America fairer to the right wing crazies?  Just because they spend all day spouting unprovable crapola?  Isn't that why the asylums were closed in the seventies?  So, that lunatic teabaggers could roam the earth acting like they got a brain in their heads?  Isn't the Walking Dead a metaphor for crazy right wingers? (I just thought I'd throw that in)

I'm not certain what your specific quote is, but if it's about the crack pipe, then in all seriousness it probably didn't affect his job.

He was only caught using it because he was so desperate for pussy that a honey-pot managed to convince him to have a hit in front a fake fern with a hidden camera before she'd let him fark her. He has terrible ethical and impulse control issues, but chemical addiction almost certainly isn't among them.

Hell, if it was Marion waving a shotgun around thinking trees were spying on him, he'd still be less delusional than Tom Bauerle.

Crack aside, Barry was nuts, because you can't be in the right mind and spew hate/bigotry the way he did and be sane.
This Tom dude however....his mind is gone. In LI he would have been tasered so long he would have been medium-well before they stopped for waltzing around toting a loaded firearm in a residential area like that.

So glad I have sat radio so I can avoid having to listen to ANY extremist rants, left or right. And mainstream media is assholes-on-parade as well.

"Mayor for life" Barry isn't so much crazy as he's a complete "storefront preacher" populist sleazebag in a town where all politics are neighborhood-local. D.C. doesn't even control it's own budget.

I've listened to this Baurle character. What a dope. He had two rants on separate shows that I caught. He railed against holding a Constitutional Convention for NY, and that movement succeeded...not because of him. He later railed against the tenure of teachers in NY. I called him on air and pointed out that the Taylor Laws, this includes arbitration and labor for teachers, can only be changed by holding a state constitutional convention. He went crazy trying to figure out that you cannot change teacher tenure without having a constitutional convention, and yet he wanted the law changed without the constitutional convention. He said "Duhhhhhh," several times and went blank.

Also, from the article:  "I've been very, very exhausted lately," he said on WBEN Friday. "There have been a number of things I've had to deal with healthwise. I honestly had to catch up on sleep and get my head in the game.

Translated into standard English, what he's trying to tell us is that he's addicted to Adderall (if he has health insurance) or meth (if he has to pay for his crazy out of his own pocket).  Either way, he's been staying of four or five days at a time, and the Keebler Elves in his toaster oven are telling him to make shoes out of his dog's feet.   Those elves are crazy, many.  Nobody is gonna give it up for a shoe made out of a dog's foot.
