The survey shows that young people, particularly gay or bi-sexual men, are allegedly responsible for the increase of 11 percent of sphysilis

Darn those gays with their sphysilis.

Well assuming gay men have the same kind of sex drive as strait men (they are still men afterall) they are probably fracking way more than women or strait men because thier partners are just as horney as they are. More sex means more oppertunities to catch an std.

I was going to  say this.  Your talking about the difference between hetero sexual relationships where women regulate sex, to gay relationships where you basically have two roosters in the henhouse.

Which by my estimation means that lesbian sex makes solar eclipses seem like an every day thing.

everything goes in cycles.  in the 80's, aids was spreading rapidly among the gay community because gay men tended to be promiscuous and not use protection.  Once the truth caught up, the gay community educated itself, started wearing condoms, and started to tell people how they don't even really do anal that much.  Aids stopped spreading so rapidly in the gay community.

well, the kids are back, young, dumb and full of cum, and the gay and bi-sexual youths are butt farking each other bareback again.

Two diseases easily avoided through condom use.

Good going, Christianity. Instead of people abstaining from sex through your "education" efforts people just get to have their genitals rot off.

BTW if the end goal is to create more "children of god" you are doing it wrong. These types of diseases tend to leave women barren if left unchecked and of course because they are too ignorant and afraid of judgment they'll avoid/delay getting tested until it's too late.

Arses.

for a good while, heterosexuals were the fastest growing group with aids because the gay community educated itself and realized that anal sex often involves blood - better suit up.

we are back to the reverse - straight kids are using condoms to prevent pregnancy (and also prevents some std's) so diseases are not spreading as quickly, while the gay and bi kids figure "fark it, I can't get pregnant, I'm a gay guy, STICK IT IN ME".

I am pretty sure that the lack of condom use among gay men is not due to what the Catholic church teaches and more due to the fact men prefer bareback sex because it feels better.

But nice try there. I bet you wear a fedora, too.

Uh... this is completely wrong. They are far MORE aware in general. The problem is buttsex (even heterosexual buttsex) is a far riskier behavior than cooter pumping. There aren't the same natural lubricants so things tend to break and the anus provides more disease vectors. Also dudes are more genetically inclined to take on multiple partners.

2014-01-11 01:38:11 PM
I'd also wager that people engage in more risky behavior when in the closet. So when you're a Senator tapping his toes to get a beej at the MSP airport, the last question you'll ask is if you got a rubber handy

But wait, I thought women "wanted it" just as much as men, and it was sexist to suggest otherwise.

No, they're just going to call you a disingenuous idiot for obfuscating and being intellectually dishonest to fit your agenda.

Hint: One of the reasons for the higher spread of STDs in the MSM population tends to be persecution by their peer groups. In fact, the CDC has addressed this many times.

Now, that said, this is not a good thing. Many cities have started seeing MDR strains of Syphilis and Gonorrhea.

I hadn't read the article but decided to based on the brewing gay bash frenzy it seems to be inciting.

So... the statistics presented pretty much represent the actual physical factors of why disease spreads faster amongst the gay community that I mentioned earlier (buttsex).

Also it is a smaller community so a few irresponsible assholes (of which there are many just like there are in the hetero community) can really spread things quickly.

Then there is the fact that a lot of young gay men are very marginalized, especially in the areas talked about, so there is self hatred, lack of opportunities and education as well as a large closeted population willing to take advantage of dumb twinks so prostitution comes into play.

So actually Christianity takes on an even BIGGER role in these infection rates because if hetero kids are not getting the education they need to protect themselves then gay youth are getting FAR less education.

So yeah... sorry, Christianity is and always will be responsible for std infections/deaths as well as unwanted pregnancies as long as it continues to fight proper, science based sex ed for young people.

Cripes... people in Africa are dying in the thousands because of their influence over there.

And chicks dig my fedora so cram it loser boy.

I knew it wouldn't take long to have some pinhead blame Christianity. In fact, abstinence is the foolproof way not to get STDs, which is what Christianity has long preached. It is the dumbasses who have unprotected/anonymous sex that caused the AIDS epidemic in the first place and contributes to the spread of STDs today.

But in today's world, no one takes responsibility for their behavior; you must blame someone/something else for your mistakes.

It's also unrealistic and fails miserably when it's promoted over safe sex. In fact, the districts with the highest rate of STDs in teenagers are those which practice abstinence only education.

Really? Persecution is preventing condom use? You know you don't have to provide your sexual orientation when buying condoms, right? When I buy condoms, I just walk in, pick up a pack, pay and walk out. Boom. Safer sex.

Yeah. About that.

Negative attitudes about homosexuality can lead to rejection by friends and family, discriminatory acts and violence that harm specific individuals, and laws and policies that adversely affect the lives of many people; this can have damaging effects on the health of MSM and other sexual minorities. Homophobia, stigma and discrimination can:

-Limit MSM's ability to access high quality health care that is responsive to health issues of MSM
-Affect income, employment status, and the ability to get and keep health insurance
-Contribute to poor mental health and unhealthy behaviors, such as substance abuse, risky sexual behaviors, and suicide attempts
-Affect MSM's ability to establish and maintain long-term same-sex relationships that reduce HIV & STD risk
-Make it difficult for some MSM to be open about same-sex behaviors with others, which can increase stress, limit social support, and negatively affect health

The effects of homophobia, stigma and discrimination can be especially hard on adolescents and young adults. Young MSM and other sexual minorities are at increased risk of being bullied in school. They are also at risk of being rejected by their families and, as a result, are at increased risk of homelessness. A study published in 2009 compared gay, lesbian, and bisexual young adults who experienced strong rejection from their families with their peers who had more supportive families. The researchers found that those who experienced stronger rejection were:

8.4 times more likely to have tried to commit suicide
5.9 times more likely to report high levels of depression
3.4 times more likely to use illegal drugs
3.4 times more likely to have risky sex

Imagine that. People who face massive social stigma and discrimination might engage in risky behaviors.

There is greater acceptance for the homosexual lifestyle. This widespread persecution is no longer a valid argument. Of course, there are still people who discriminate, but it's fading. More states are recognizing gay marriage. Time to start acting like adults.

Actually, it does. US Churches, as a rule, vehemently oppose realistic sexual education in schools, either touting the "leave it to parents" line of thought, or actively saying it encourages sin.

American Evangelicals are of the opinion that only "bad" people have sex. This tends to also overlap with the belief of the anti-abortion movement that unplanned pregnancies are "punishment" for their sins.
