Somewhere in The Great Gig in the Sky, Michael Jackson just walked up to Whitney Houston and declared that to be weird.  Expect a man on horseback to be riding along shortly, followed by three more.

The daughter has a very impressive mwanya (Swahili for "gap in teeth"), legendary in fact.  Michael Strahan's throne is up for grabs.

adopted brother

This is an OUTRAGE, luckily IT DOESN'T AFFECT ME AT ALL

2014-01-11 12:18:00 PM
I have an adopted sibling, and she's every bit as disgusting to me as if she was a biological sibling. Grrross.

2014-01-11 12:18:08 PM
No blood relation, no official adoption, they've known each other since about the age of 12.

I'm from Texas, East Texas.  If you think 'this' situation is scandalous, I could tell you stories that'd have you doubting the existence of God.

marrying  her brother some guy who's lived in the same house since he was 12.

Okay, but only one lil tidbit for today, I have to ration this stuff since I fled about 8 years ago.

When my sister was 16, she found herself infatuated with my step-brother who ended up going to jail for the manufacturing and distributing of methamphetamine.  She stuck with him until he got out of prison and married a different 15 year old girl.

They both had kids by him.

He's now seeing a new girl who, wonder of wonders, is actually 19.

That's it for now.  Maybe next time, I'll tell you about how my family conspired to let my 'other' stepbrother die of a heart condition at home so that my father could marry his widow.

Legalizing gay marriage caused this to come about, I'm sure of it.

Bobbi Kristina Brown has confirmed this week that she and her adopted brother have gone all Woody Allen and decided to marry into the family, announcing that they are married and that they intend to tie the knot properly in the near future.
===================================================

I stopped after this sentence. There's two MAJOR things wrong with it:

A) For the millionth time, Woody Allen did not marry anyone related in any way to him. He never married Mia Farrow which means her adopted daughter means nothing to him. Therefore, not the same.

B) The second part of the sentence says that they are both married and 'intending' to get married. Which is it, morons?!

The legal marriage already happened, the ceremonial marriage is yet to come.
Some people do it like that.

It's interesting to peek at the 'Who Cares'-esque trends on CNN, because -they- care, even if they aren't actively acknowledging it.  Their new gimmick is 'Top 5 things you should know...' and they're all stupid, vapid pop culture tidbits that we really have no reason caring about past providing meaningless water cooler fodder for corporate whores who have a soul sucking existence devoid of interesting material.

/I was on a roll

That it is.  And you win the jackpot, friend.  Vidor is also the town where the KKK tried to sponsor a section of highway to clean up.

As I remember it, the authorities couldn't stop them, so they renamed that whole section the MLK Highway and they lost interest in cleaning it.

Though I have to stop mixing it up with Jasper in my head

Jasper's too far off the beaten path to be a speed trap, but it's pretty terrible there, too, for black folk.

But, yes, Vidor's big on catching speeders.  It's also one of those 'sundown' towns.  If you're not a local, you probably don't want to be there after the sun goes down.

Am I the only one that (yes, seriously) supports incestuous marriage?  I mean, I don't *advocate* it any more than I advocate any form of marriage, but like a lot of people, I *support* gay marriage.  But for all the reasons I support gay marriage, I support incestuous marriage.  I honestly think it's silly that we're having these debates over gay marriage while we still have laws on the books that makes it illegal for consenting adults to get married.

The arguments against it, basically, amount to 'eww gross'.

People will say it is unnatural (they said that about gay marriage too).
People will talk about increased risk of disease (they said that about gay lifestyles too - remember HIV the *gay* disease?).  Besides, marriage doesn't require having biological children (again, see gay marriage or the large number of male/female marriages that are childless).  We also permit people with a known (higher than usual) chance of passing on other genetic diseases to procreate.

I realize that, in this case, they weren't biologically related - but I don't see how that should matter.  in fact, in many places, being related through marriage will still make it illegal for you to marry.
