GOP: We made up scandals about Obama WAY WORSE than this Christie traffic thing.

one is a scandal, the other is not a scandal.

Ed Gein was a monster, but at least he had nothing to do with Benghazi, unlike Obama.

Ed Gein: 1 Obama: 0

Christie crackdown ups scrutiny over Obama's scandal response

The fark WHY?

Even if there was anything to the Benghazi scandal, one has nothing the fark to do with the other.

This takes false equivalence to the most surreal level I've seen yet.  Neither bears any resemblance to other in any way other than there was a (potential) farkup.

I saw a graphic comparing the massive Day-1 coverage of this Christie thing to the last six months of the IRS v. Tea Party non-profits story on major networks.  That conveniently ignored that the story got a lot more press when it was, you know, new.

And he inspired some really good movies.

Really though, this Benghazi thing has turned hilarious. A year ago.

Lando Lincoln: "Chris Christie is embroiled in a scandal! How will this help Obama hide what really happened in Benghazi? More after the break."

Oh, c'mon.  You know better than that.

"Obama engineers phony scandal to distract from Benghazi massacre on his watch"

Holy fark. It really does say that.

Let's review:

Christie Lane Closures: Actual event; actual people in his administration actually responsible for wrongdoing; he fires some of them
Benghazi Coverup: coverup never happened; no actual people in his administration guilty of any wrongdoing; he fires none of them.

Kind of comparing apples and balloons there, FauxNews.

2014-01-10 02:56:32 PM
Fox News: news for ignorant dickholes.

2014-01-10 03:03:26 PM
It's really hard to close down a bridge. Implementing Obamacare was a no brainer - nobody could screw that up.

In business news, poultry farmers have reported a sudden massive increase in orders for live chickens

Notice how the "article" is unsigned. No one even wants to claim credit for it?

Fox News: Announced Point Break remake immediately calls attention to Obama's handling of Benghazi

Fox News: Incorrect McDonald's order immediately calls attention to Obama's handling of Benghazi

Fox News: Late-night fever dreams immediately call attention to Obama's handling of Benghazi

all roads lead to Rome, eh, Benghazi.

I noticed that, too.

I wonder what that says about Obama's handling of Benghazi?

MrBallou: Christie Lane Closures: Actual event; actual people in his administration actually responsible for wrongdoing; he fires some of them

Was anyone ever actually been reprimanded or fired over 9/11 or the missing WMDs? I recall lots of talk about incompetence and blah blah blah, but no one actually fired. Maybe the firings in this case prove it was low level pittance compared to things of real importance.

They outed a CIA agent over it.

If anyone is wondering, I've got lot's of theories about how to connect Benghazi to anything, at least 9-11 of them.

2014-01-10 03:19:14 PM
This isn't the same thing.  I certainly don't recall Obama losing a nights sleep over it the day before the attack.

In French potatoes are "les pommes du terre" or literally "earth apples".

How about apples and fruitcakes?

I was on the fence between Chris Christie and Ted Cruz for the GOP '16 run.  If this helps clarify who the front-runner is, i'm fine with that.

Ted Cruz '16 FTW.

i can just imagine the amount of cocaine and booze combined needed in the meetings where fox news writers come up with all of the 'how can we make this a good thing for christie and a bad thing for obama' stories.
because its always bad news... for obama.

Also the Christie story was getting no traction when it was not one of his aids. On the IRS thing it was not part of the Obama administration and got much much more coverage.

CSB - My aunt and uncle live relatively close to the Christies.  They bumped into him and the family in an ice-cream shop in Bernardsville.  I asked my uncle if the lap band looked like it was working.  He said it was hard to say, but was somewhat surprised at how short a man he is.  Granted, my uncle is like 6'2" or more.

But when this started and Christie was going on about "working the cones" it was all I could think of.

bricks can be reddish and roughly the same size.   Plus Christie could eat both if he was hungry enough.
