They don't.  Medicare/Medicaid pays for them.  Those scooter-sales companies that advertise on daytime TV are no doubt making a mint off of them.

lilbjorn: What's the point?  If you have a chauffeur, use a freakin' car.


If you try to drive your car inside Wal-Mart, you'll be arrested.  But if they try to ban your mobility scooter from Wal-Mart, they'll be arrested.
