here to help:

It's almost like it was winter when that happened.

But yes. Let's all let a fellow on the internet who goes by the handle Hasty Ambush lead us to salvation. He seems legit.

Isn't it summer in the southern hemisphere when it's winter in the northern hemisphere?

Why yes, yes it is.

/don't let that stop you though, you are winning the fark!

hasty ambush: German scientists* are predicting that the Earth will cool over the next century.

*Two, from a right wing think thank, the German equivalent of the Heartland Institute, "publishing" in their own think tank's newsletter.

DubtodaIll: none of the loudest predictions more than five years old have come true.

What does this even mean? The mainstream scientific position on climate is represented by the IPCC. And the IPCC reports have demonstrated clearly that Arctic sea ice is melting far more rapidly than predicted.

And this out of context:

hasty ambush: [ image 817x581]

Is a total misrepresentation.of the science, taking an outlier, which other scientists in the same article disagree with as being too pessimistic, as though it was a mainstream claim.

nevermind the fact that every "geo" was just a re-badged car made by another company for another market.
the tracker was a suzuki sidekick
the storm was an isuzu impulse
the prizm was a toyota corolla
the metro was a suzuki swift
and the spectrum was an isuzu gemini

basically, GM licensed a ton of efficient cars since they couldn't build one then slapped a "geo" badge on it so as to not tarnish the image of any of their other brands.

Hey my Metro got 50mpg on the highway.  Sure it had no A/C, no radio initially, no power, and a 1L 3 cylinder engine, but it probably helped the environment more than a Prius does today.
