Rich people problems. Last time it snowed they came through with a truck and threw down some sand a week after the storm. Plows? Hah, no. Those are for the one highway and church parking lots. It's not like I live in a shiatty neighborhood, they just don't touch the side streets around here.

And safety issues? Are you kidding me? From a pile of snow on an otherwise plowed street? Either stop driving like a maniac in residential areas or suck it the hell up, you whiners.

Pangea: . I actually had a few vivid fantasies about burning the guys house down.

The Police are NOT your friend. DO NOT TALK TO THEM... Surely do not incriminate yourself.

One thing is for sure. I would find out who called and get my 100 dollars back plus interest.

That whiney neighbor who biatched about the snow on the side of the street would get a stern face to face.

/Internet tough guy be damned... I'm 6'4 /255 and I would use all of it in this circumstance to drive home the point of MYOFB.

I really hate people that shovel/snow blow directly onto the street!!
That icey speed bump scares the hell out of me as I'm going 80 mph through their residential neighborhood

Clearly we're cut from the same cloth, based on the desires you've just expressed.

I'm just not in denial about mine.

I always throw the snow in the street.  If you do it right, it melts faster and creates less problems in the future.

Sweet, I live there! College student there, so I don't really know how Peoria Police operate though. Uni Police aren't massive dicks at least.(And actual police, not rentacops)

Am I the only one who tends to remove snow from the street so it isn't such a huge pile when the plow comes by a week later? I'm sure it's illegal too for whatever reason.

My next door neighbor used to have her son-in-law plow out her driveway with a big old truck plow.  He'd then proceed ram it into the curb across the street ripping up the grass in the process.  She seemed confused as to why that wasn't ok.

Also: the above is not a euphemism.

If you throw your snow/leaves/grass clippings in the street, you're a dick.  If you call the cops on your neighbor, you're a dick.  If you're a cop, you're a dick.

mcmnky: Danger Mouse: I would think the "hero" tag would have been more appropriate.    Lazy Dbags who toss thier snow into the street are creating a safety issue for everyone else.

/Learn to shovel pinhead..,and get off my lawn.

When the town stops plowing snow from the street in to my drive way, I'll stop shoveling snow back in to the street.

How much of a raging adolescent do you have to be to not understand basic street plowing mechanics by the time you own your own home with a driveway.

I had a retired neighbor throw a tantrum once at a plow driver, so he just left our street half-done. Luckily the plow came back later and finished, after the cops had talked some sense into the cranky old coot.

This story reminds me how much I hate shoveling snow. I used to live on a busy one way street. We essentially shared a drive way with the neighbor and on the other side of the drive way was a giant tree. The driveway it self was very steep and had a retaining wall on the side not shared with the neighbor. This left essentially no place to put the snow. I would shuffle up and down my dangerously steep and slippy drive way, shoveling snow and carrying it to one of two locations I could actually pile it. By the end of the season, we had to mountains of snow that would hang around for while. The worst was shoveling the end of the drive way where the plow would pile the snow. The street was busy so that snow would be absolutely nasty and usually extra wet and heavy. Damn snow.

/The guy shouldn't have shoveled snow in the street
//The neighbor is a dick and will probably get the favor returned in the future

I have shoveled the shoulder of road, so when the plow came along, his plow would be clean by the time he reached my driveway and had no snow to dump in my driveway.  It worked like a charm.

This time around, I didn't bother, however we did shovel the driveway real well and I now drive a large four wheel drive.  A neighbor a few doors down, did not shovel their driveway, only to not be able to get out at all when the plow came by.  I learned a lot about my neighbor by the method by which they got out.  They stubbornly stuck to the hit the gas till it breaks loose method.  I'm funny, I have used a shovel, cat litter, and even just pulling back into the driveway for a running start, but try something that looks like you have some problem solving skills.

When I mean stubborn, I mean they spent over a half an hour just hitting the gas.
