In Nordic mythology, hell (called "Hel") is actually cold and frozen.

I suppose for a Viking in the middle of winter, a hot hell would sound like a pretty nice place.

Fahrenheit is such a stupid arbitrary scale. Hell MI froze over way back at zero Celsius thankyouverymuch. Zero Fahrenheit is meaningless.
