The upside is that Fox News will now lose its title of the favorite network of morons.

How soon before this s bundled like ESPN and we have to get charged for more sh*t we don't watch.

Worth it if this includes the original ECW catalog.

This will totally fulfill my desire to watch past WWE/WWF, WCW, and ECW events.

I don't know, does your ISP usually bundle extra things with your internet service?

I was wondering how long this would take to show up on here.

they have a whole month to push it back again, and again
/and again.

Oh! Almost forgot to ask! Why this isn't in the Entertainment tab?

2014-01-09 06:04:45 AM
FTA: WWE Network will also include groundbreaking original programming, reality shows, documentaries, classic matches and more than 1,500 hours of video on demand at launch.

I wonder if they'll bring back Tough Enough. One of my guilt pleasures.

I've read they'll have all of ECW Hardcore TV available. I would assume PPVs as well.

It sounds like even though it took damn close to three years to get up and running, that this may be a hell of a deal for $10/month.

I have my TV on in my room every night on ESPN to get my money's worth. Their analysis might be terrible, but I can at least fall asleep to their droning

Right now, they've got the 3 year old Legends House ready to go. And you have to believe there will be Total Divas reruns. And maybe a round table discussion show starring Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Zack Ryder on how to be punished and buried for getting over against Vince's wishes.

I won't be signing up right away, but am interested in doing so.  It sounds almost like a too good to be true type thing.  I'll give it a couple weeks after it launches to see what the reaction is and then make a full decision.

2014-01-09 07:17:21 AM
For the wrestling fan this is the best thing that could ever happen. $60 for 6 months of access for all live PPVs including WrestleMania and every WWE, WCW, and ECW PPV ever held is a steal.

On the plus side, in 10-15 years that same panel can also do a show on concussion awareness where they count to potato.

Same here.  Getting the PPVs for that price makes it seem like it would be worthwhile.  I know that the WWE Network idea has been the butt of many jokes the last few years but this announcement seemed to go over very well. As a fan this made me, dare I say, cautiously optimistic.

2014-01-09 07:47:24 AM
Sweet....i can hear JR announce matches again. But will give it a few weeks to work out the kinks before wrestlemania. I'll be able to see women's matches with Lita and Trish when the WWE cared about the women's division.

/good luck in future endeavors Kaitlyn

Now that is good! :-)

I will be getting it. Been saying that if the PPVs were available as a $10 a month package I'd do it, and here they are offering just that so I guess I have to put my $ where my mouth is.

2014-01-09 08:21:07 AM
If they keep the archive ppv's in there permanently then it's a huge deal and steal, but I can't see how that won't kill DVD sales

Man that's mighty tempting. I was a big fan of ECW back when it was on public access tv and blockbuster had some of their videos. Over a decade later and the Sabu vs Terry Funk barbed wire match still makes me cringe when I watch it.

For those of you who are not going to buy the product.....why?

My concern is that the cable shows will turn into commercials for the network.

Like I said on the fWc Facebook. Vince is flying into providence on Monday and if I see him I'm throwing $60 in his face...IN HIS FACE!!!

Say what you will about the product... this is a much better model for the fans.  Plus it gives the WWE a new way to receive direct income from the consumers.  I heard they made about about 18-20 per PPV, so they will not be making the same kind of cash there, but I think they will make it up in quantity of subscriptions.

"Well look at that Brain, the WWE did something right."

"Yeah Monsoon, it almost makes up for ignoring Zack Ryder, trying to kill Daniel Bryan's heat, burying Dolph Ziggler, making the women's division a joke, shoving Cena down our thoats, putting a Marine Corp washout with a fecal obsession in their top spot, handteen, 3 hour RAWs, having a racist, xenophobic manager and chaining a huge talent to him, ignoring countless wellness violations, shiatty movie after painfully shiatty movie, the XFL, El Matadores, Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara originale, Big Show in a diaper, the return of the not needed Batista, $60 advertisements for their free TV show..."

"Alright Brain, we get it."

"Ryback injuring everyone he touches, HHH's golden shovel, Vince's JR impression, firing JR in the first place, Rolling the King out there every Monday night, Total Divas, Kane's three foot willy, aaaaaaand I'm pretty sure Vince shot Kennedy as well."

"He did not!"

"Well I KNOW he shot his brother!"
