Snarfangel: madgordy: my adopted little brother, drank hard, partied hard, was a musician, and he had an almost unlimited # of friends and an amazing number of women (rapid turn over).  I remember stopping by his house one summer day to find 3 women on the couch, one standing with him in the kitchen while he was on the phone with a fifth who he was telling how much he loved her and was excited that she was going to be at the house in a week or two.   he was screwing the 4 in the house and was married to the one on the phone.  mind you he had told the four in the house that he was being monogomous with each one of them and getting a divorce from the one on the phone.   yeah he was a whole lot of crazy sticking it into a whole lot of crazy.

so yes, the drunk kids are the popular kids.

Women are attracted to self-confidence, and nothing makes me more self-confident than a fifth of whiskey.

Many don't like drunks, though. On the plus side, if you don't talk much, they will just think you are a good listener.

the ladies would swoon and the mention of his name.  he was in a "BAND"  the only steady job he ever had was when he was in the Navy, after that he couldn't hold a job and was supported by his ladies.  but they fell into his bed in groups.

wolfpaq777: Drinking is such a colossal waste of money.

I can't count the thousands I've saved by never taking up the habit and I'm still pretty young.

Not to mention the health benefits & complete lack of hangovers in my life.  I feel truly sorry for people who succumb to the pressure out there to start farking over their body & wallet for whatever reason it is they do.

It's called living. Saving everything, always making healthy choices etc what's the point of that ? Cutting loose, laughing, being merry and drinking with good company are some of the finest life experiences one could have. No one is saying you have to over do it but it does happen.

You could get hit by a bus tomorrow and what good is that saved money going to do you or that healthy living.

That old joke about the jogger in the park being found by a bunch of smokers comes to mind

Clearly, lack of drinking cause innumeracy.

People who have good booze and good drugs make popular adults as well.

As I remember it, cooler kids with more friends have more opportunity to drink and are more encouraged to do so.

/I'd guess that teens who drink more are more likely to have older siblings/friends, too

"The Popular Kid who Smoked & Drank" was the least successful ABC After School Special ever.

Well, let's see...

There's Jack Daniels and Jimmy Beam...

And my pal Johnny Walker and his brothers, Black and red...

Oh, and my dear old Grandad.

/But, I drink alone, so what would i know.

It's not the "bad boy" BS, it's not the "popular" thing to do or be, it's the I don't give a crap about myself or you and am seeking to see how far I can push edge of morality and safety  simply because I need to be validated by as many people as possible because I have no self image or esteem.  Good luck with that.

I've seen enough 80's teen comedies to know where this is going.

This couldn't have anything to do with the fact that more friends means more peer pressure, would it?
