Megachurch"...certainly there couldn't be a profit motive for saying stupid things like this....could there?

2014-01-08 01:10:50 PM
People become pastors because they're either too lazy or too stupid to get a real job

/and the rubes throw money

2014-01-08 01:14:24 PM
I'm pretty sure the Antichrist will come at the head of a megachurch. Supported by flocks of hate mongers who believe they are doing God's will.

2014-01-08 01:19:31 PM
F*ck each and everyone one of these assholes.

"This page of the bible is God's law. But this other page that I disagree with, well you can just ignore it. Now send me more money. My jet needs to be refurbished."

2014-01-08 01:21:25 PM
I see they're paving the way for a "Hillary-is-the-Antichrist" narrative two years from now....*sigh*

2014-01-08 01:21:35 PM
So Obama is the anti-john the baptist?

Dear Christians:

Your brothers and sisters like this, who grow more vocal and more numerous every day, are why we despise your religion and distrust you implicitly.  Just so you know.

Best regards,

Benevolent Misanthrope

Doesn't think Obama himself is the Anti-Christ? RINO.

2014-01-08 02:19:49 PM
"paving the way". At least he's doing something about the country's crumbling infrastructure.

2014-01-08 02:20:40 PM
Wait... keep hearing that Obama IS the Antichrist.  These people need to get their conspiracy theories straight.

2014-01-08 02:22:43 PM
Does Satan need Obama's help?

2014-01-08 02:23:49 PM
Although President Obama is certainly not the Antichrist, his policies are paving the way for the Antichrist," wrote Jeffress in a press release for the book.

Call me crazy, but this sounds like progress to me.

I for one welcome our new Ant-Christ overloards.

Shouldn't they be celebrating the ushering-in of the Rapture?

2014-01-08 02:27:24 PM
Why don't the good Christians ever speak out against their extremists?

2014-01-08 02:29:02 PM
Fools follow the foolish. Read your Bible again, especially Christ's admonition of the Pharisees. Spend less time in condemnation, and more in self-reflection. Spend less time writing books and more time helping the poor. A boy crying wolf is a poor shepherd to his flock.

In an excerpt of the book published at Huffington Post, the pastor of Dallas, Texas' 11,000-member First Baptist Church, Jeffress wrote, "For the first time in history a president of our country has openly proposed altering one of society's (not to mention God's) most fundamental laws: that marriage should be between a man and a woman."

This pastor is gravely mistaken about God's laws.

Catholics did try to 'silence' as many evangelicals and Protestant heathens as we possibly could.

Satanic_Hamster: Why don't the good Christians ever speak out against their extremists?

The truest Christians I've ever known don't talk about their faith unless directly asked. They do their best to act on Christ's teachings.

If Obama is the antichrist, then the antichrist can't be whoever is running in 2016.  This isn't progress, it's planning.

I don't recall gay marriage being in the top 10 of god's laws or commandments.....

I'm not sayin' this pastor could be the anti-Christ but I just saw his book on the B&N discount table for $6.66.

Has the IRS ever revoked a church's tax-exempt status? Evar?

Like when the crazy Quran-burning pastor hung Obama in effigy? Not even then?

Hey reasonable Christians, I know you're out there, I've met a few of you, can you guys do me a favor?  Can you shut these type of people up?  They make you look really bad, ignorant, hateful, and stupid.  Thanks.

My uncle is the owner of a megachurch in Albuquerque and he's been fanning this flame for the last 5 years now. Passive aggressive fire and brimstone is the centerpiece of these assholes' business model.

Texas Megachurch pastor is an antichrist, according to his "beloved" Bible.

stuhayes2010: Wait, wait, wait, I thought he was the antichrist.

He's the antichrist to some...  We'll see if in the future we can look back in time to confirm that.

Just like how Jesus ended up being the strongest swimming Jewish messiah sperm in the journey to fertilize the God's Christianity egg.  None of the other messiahs matter now.

I wonder how fast guys like this would "lose their faith" if the IRS came to its senses and revoked that privilege.

I can't wait till the old bigoted farks have become extinct.  I may not be alive to see it but I like to think it's happening slowly but surely.

2014-01-08 02:48:43 PM
anti-   it wasn't meant to be the evil opposite of, rather just a person falsely claiming to be somone else.  the Pope, and the Anti-Pope.   Elvis and all of the Anti-Elvises.   The Anti-Christ is someone who falsely claims they are the Jewish messiah.   as such Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Charles Manson were Anti-Christ's.  while Jesus son of Joseph was wandering in the Levant there were lots of other people who were Anti-Christ's.  During the next two thousand years a multitude of people have claimed to be this messiah, and as such Anti-Christ.   there is no requirement for there to be 'just one'  and claiming a particular significants to each and every one of them other than the odds of NOT being the Messiah, vs. being the 3rd coming of the Christian God are pretty high by this time.  besides the thousand years started with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, and ended 700+ years ago.  blink and you missed it.

You guys are forgetting these "pastors" and their flock have never studied theology, much less actually read the Bible.
