Why? I'm not trying to be a peener, I honestly want to know. If it isn't endangered, why is it stupid?

Conservationists have criticised the sale in Iceland of a beer which its makers claim contains dead whale.

As opposed to it containing live whale? That would be ok?

Look, I just ate that mom's baby!  She's so mad!  I totally rule!

Duff beer brew master:   Needs more dog!

I would prefer humans not eat any animal which uses proper names to identify each other. That would include humans, whales and dolphins. Dogs and cats recognize their human-given names but don't use them with each other, so puppies and alley cats are still fair game.

Parrots recognize each other's voices and imitate them to reply to each other, so they may be off the menu as well. Despite tiny brains, some birds seem to be very clever, especially parrots and the corvidae.  I'm not sure about apes and monkeys, but I'd sooner you didn't eat them either. That's how AIDS started. Also, they look and act so human it is hard to believe they don't have near human brains.

Us sentient creatures are all in this together. We may not cause all of the world's problems, but we are the only species that can think of solutions and implement them.

Unless you lived in the NW Pacific coast in an indian tribe circa 1900's and if you didnt you you would starve/freeze and die.

they're eating dead whale at the festival any way.  it's not like the whale was killed exclusively for the beer.

"punch"? at 5.2%?

It probably doesn't improve the beer in the slightest.

I'd use human eyeballs in my beer if it gave me better hop aroma retention.

Animal activists like to remind you that the animal in question was once living by means of a contrasting adjective. Obvious guilt trip is obvious.

I was disappointed in the beer in Iceland - every place had the required Viking (ok at best on draft) and Tuborg (ugh) but you had to look around to find anything better.  If I could figure out this life thing ever, I'd start a microbrewery there in a heartbeat

//Iceland is definitely worth visiting

A 5.2% ABV is less like a punch and more like a limp wristed slap.

I just bought tickets to Iceland last night. Lots of day trips have this brewery on the tour.  Was looking forward to trying many of their beers... but think I'll skip this one.

No, see, now you *HAVE* to try at least a sip to let us know.  It's your duty as a Farker.
