Wonder Woman is Kryptonian?  Wow, that's about as stupid and unnecessary of a change you could make.  Did Batman's parents die in a boating accident in this version?

from what I understand (and I could be wrong) DC has to publish Wonder Woman or it loses the rights to the character to the creator's family.

I'm pretty sure there was no actual information in that article. Most of it wasn't even alleged leaks, it was just what the guy thinks they might do.

"however the writer isn't revealing leaked info throughout his article, just telling fans what he thinks WB may do."

The current run has been excellent, mainly because it's not a straight-forward Wonder Woman comic. It really plays up the Greek mythology aspect instead of superheroics and it doesn't cross-over with the rest of the DC universe at all, so you can read it without worrying about anything that's going on elsewhere.

IIRC, It was like that until some time in the 90s. That's why Kurt Busiek got a shot writing a Wonder Woman mini-series between the end of volume 1 and the beginning of Perez's series. But, seemingly, DC finally acquired full rights to the character at some point in the 90 so they just keep the book going because Wonder Woman doesn't fit into a refrigerator so easily.

Except for the fact that a big part of Superman's whole character has been the fact that he's the last Kryptonian.

They won't do it.  DC movies are going to want to include magic in their universe but they aren't going to dive right in with something like Doctor Fate or Mordru.  So they will ease into it.  First Wonder Woman with her origins though they will probably forgo the magic lasso.  Then Zatana with her long legs and fishnet stockings and low cut... I'll finish this thought after I get back from my bunk.

That's why I like Byrne's run and the post-Crisis Superman the best... he was the last Kryptonian. and it took 15 years for them to filter everything from the Pre-Crisis continuity back into things, so that take was more than successful.

Think about it. Why on EARTH would Superman get anywhere NEAR Lex Luthor when he knows Lex always has kryptonite weapons? He can lift a freakin' land mass. I'm pretty sure he can figure out how to toss a bean bag or rubber ball hard enough to cause problems.

As with any series, in the right hands absolutely.  From what I've heard the current WW series is pretty good.

Everyone trots out that image as proof, but conveniently forgets that Nolan's Batman is covered in a bunch of molded plastic that faked muscle mass. They can't do that with Wonder Woman.

It wasn't all suit. Gul Dakot has said in several interviews that she knows she need to bulk up before shooting and has been training extensively. She's not going to be as stacked as Wonder Woman in the comics (no one could be), but she'll pass muster.

It's from Batman-on-Film, and that guy is debunking this story himself.

"Apparently, several outlets picked up on what I wrote in the mailbag below - especially my take on how Amazons might be explained in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN - and claimed that I was reporting it as fact and/or that it was a "rumor" I had heard.
They. Are. All. WRONG. "

I'm with you on this. The whole Greek mythology stuff would just seem anachronistic and silly in this day and age. Just....... dumb. Making them descendants of an old colony of Kryptonians actually makes a whole lot of sense though.

Er, are you serious? I'm really not sure if you're badly trolling, or just kinda dense here.  Why is 'greek mythology' somehow more obtuse than 'ancient colony of aliens'? Especially given we have a movie coming out in the next few weeks specifically about Hercules. And most kids are taught greek mythology in school. And there are hundreds upon hundreds of references to greek mythology in almost every entertainment medium known to man except 'here comes honey diabeetus spawn'.

Except they're not doing that, but keep your usual idiotic Marvel drone haterade on. The guy from the website admitted he made it up and wasn't intended to be a rumour, just his thoughts.

But again, keep hating XD

I'll never understand this insecurity Marvel fans have. You guys need to put down DC in half your posts just to feel good. Marvel is winning, you don't need to try this hard. Seems desperate and pathetic. I never saw all this outrage after Catwoman or Superman Returns were made. What? Are you so afraid that now that WB is giving a shiat they will stand up to Marvel?

My little 6 year old niece asks me who's better, Superman or Wonder Woman. Thought about it a bit, said "Wonder Woman." Every time I've seen them fight in a comic or cartoon, WW is just as strong and fast as Superman, but she's actually martially trained for combat and mops the floor with him, plus she has no silly vulnerabilites like kryptonite or needing a yellow sun to function. Factor in she *is* magic (which Supes is weak against) and it's not even a fight, really.

Made her happy to hear that. Heh.

As far as Marvel vs DC goes, it's really not a competition in my mind. DC is for little kids generally. DC's characters are eye-gougingly flamboyant and pretty much simply painted as GOOD or EVIL rather than real personalities. Marvel is largely for teens with slightly more complex characters that are less silly and only a teeny tiny bit more believable. Neither are really for adults as none really are well-written in a realistic way and it's pointless to invest yourself in any of their characters since there's never any meaningful plot or history for them. The '90s created a trend that pretty much ruined mainstream comic books as a medium to care about.

You couldn't be more wrong even if you tried on purpose.

1.- Superman dominates Wonder Woman. It's a no contest.
2.- Why do you say Kryptonite is "silly"? It's clear you're trying to use loaded language to further your point.
3.- DC is more for adults if you actually manage to read their stories. They tackle actual themes and subtexts. They even have a full-on mature line called Vertigo that fostered the acceptance of comics as literature.

And sure, Thor is way more realistic than Superman *eyerolls*
