At least she didn't make him watch Tom Green's films.  That would have been both cruel and unusual.

"She was angry and surprised I hadn't seen 'Grey Gardens' or 'Ever After' and immediately sat me down and had me watch them," he said. Immediately.

I thought the Geneva Conventions outlawed that abortion.

I haven't seen all her films but they're not all bad. Especially the ones she gets naked in.

I liked the first one. Didn't see the second one.

Please, just not "Never Been Kissed."

The Wedding Singer. The only Adam Sandler movie I can stand*, largely for her. And Billy Idol. For different reasons.

* unless you count Airheads, which co-starred Adam Sandler but I wouldn't call it an Adam Sandler movie

If I got to engage in sexual relations with Drew Barrymore I would be quite willing to watch the movies of Cameron Diaz even.

He has to kiss the mouth that once held Tom  Greens rotten testicle, so there is that.

It's like the old saying goes, for every hot chick out there, there's some guy sick of having to act like "50 First Dates" is entertaining in any manner.

Explains why her relationship success stories rival those of Jennifer Aniston.

It really was. However it wasn't god awful, but it was forgettable, like waking up the next day and forgetting you watched a movie last night.

I liked it a lot but yea, it's a movie you have to take completely at face value because if you try to think about it at all it gets really weird, really fast.

Well it was like Memento, except I didn't care that it happened to Guy Pierce in a thriller, it was just sad seeing it happen to Drew. And she had to meet Adam Sandler for the first time every day or however long it was that she lost her memory.

that is (or at least for a few years WAS) my favorite sandler flick, and yes a big part of that was due to just how cute drew was in it. that and all the cliche throwback 80s stuff.

still easily in my top 3 sandler flicks, along with happy gilmore and the waterboy. i really enjoy 50 first dates, but it's not quite as silly as the other movies so it's different.

i get strange looks when i say i've loved drew since e.t., you know, since she was about 6 when they made it. then i remind folks i was about 6 when i saw it the first time...she's a few months older than i am

It's weird. On TCM with Robert Osborne she seems relatively well-spoken and knowledgeable, and genuinely appreciative of great films. Yet her own movies are stinkburgers.

classic case of the family before being hollywood royalty, and the new blood not quite living up to that level. the knowledge was etched into every fiber of her being...but the talent and/or choices of roles just wasn't. not saying she's untalented, just saying it's a much different level of talent

Whatever your opinion of Drew or her movies may be , she really turned her life around. She was raised in some bullshiat Hollywood family and was a drug addict before she was a teenager. She got clean and became a successful producer. She's like the anti-Lohan/Bynes/Miley.

I still maintain that Miley's whole thing is just a publicity move. She breaks completely from Hanna Montana, gets lots of press for her singing career, and positions herself for future craziness if she drops too far out of the news. In three or four years she'll say she's calmed down and release some "serious" albums.

this

except i'm still not at all convinced miley is on the fast track to a major trainwreck. i think she has really productive publicist(s) keeping her name in the media with the mentality that "bad publicity is still publicity". in other words, i think the "i'm grown up trying to be sexy" part may be real, and perhaps she has smoked a little weed, but anything really bad i think is trumped up entirely for the media

i seem to be in the extreme minority on this...but i hope i'm right

Yeah, I actually said that before. She seems like she's trying really hard to be a bad girl. Probably doesn't need to be lumped in with the other two.

i've yet to see any evidence that she is on the level of lohan/bynes/late-80s drew

and ke$ha. oh man i love that chick, and talk about trolling...she's even straight up said that all/most of the badgirl image is just that...AN IMAGE...yet people continue to think she's really a bad bad nasty girl...when in reality she's only like that in my bedroom

50 First Dates was pretty amusing as well.  Not as good as The Wedding Singer, but they work well together.

It's almost like people have different preferences or something.  I think Jennifer Aniston is generally boring and uninteresting in every way.  The same with Gwen Stefani (outside of her musical talent).  But I realize I'm in the minority.  Different strokes.

I totally feel the same way. I've never understood why Jennifer Aniston is fawned over the way she is.

Although, I think I would find Gwen Stefani very attractive if she had a bigger rack. Or any rack at all.

/Sorry that sounds so sexist.

it got bigger when she had the kids. i haven't seen her lately to see if it remained bigger, though

Like her as a person (she seems to be), but absolutely cannot stand her movies.  Used to feel the same about Reese Witherspoon, but she seems like she has become a total c#nt.

Some girl dragged me to see Mad Love about 20 years ago.  Just terrible.  This was during the period where Chris O'Donnel was a star.  How in the hell did that happen?

I'm waiting for her to play a wheelchair-bound "Henrietta Potter" in the inevitable remake of "It's a Wonderful Life."  The older she gets, the more her face resembles his.  I'm starting to not be able to unsee it.
