Oh, c'mon you liberal vultures.  He's only a FL Congressman.  Cut the guy some slack.  It's not like he's on food stamps or anything.

He's taking drugs off the street, one gram at a time.

The Politico headline is only partly right. It should read: The Return of the Cocaine Congressman Who Wants Drug Testing for the Poors Only.

He pays for his own cocaine, so your point is invalid.

And Rush pays for all of his.  What difference does it make?  They're still drug addicts.

"I look forward to getting back to work next week representing my neighbors in Southwest Florida as they face the burdens of Obamacare, a jobless recovery, and a federal government that continues to spend more than it takes in," he said.

I know an easy fix for those.

"I ask people, 'Why do you do cocaine?' And they say, 'Well, it intensifies your personality.'

So I say, 'Yes, but what if you're an asshole?'"

// The Cos
// also, what's that line from Futurama? "To be fair and counteract your privileged status as a rich white man, the Court will try you as though you were a poor black man"?
// they should try that

Reminder: Sending a pic of your underwear-covered schwanz means you must instantly resign.
Snorting enough coke to qualify as an honorary Escobar means that once you complete a few weeks of rehab you're ready to get back to work.

He could go on Rush's show, and they can discuss how people who use drugs should go to jail, no questions asked.

The money he uses to pay for his coke comes from taxpayers. He should have to undergo the same rules as all the other welfare queens.

Doesn't his money come from the Federal government?

Looks like he's worth more than $4 million and that came from sources other than his federal paycheck. A relative pauper by Congressional standards but he probably can feel his cocaine habit without tapping into his salary.

Interesting that he hid that wealth until after the election.

We should be taking away his Congressional salary to make sure that none of that money goes to coke. Or, he should have to take random drug tests to show that his is clean. After all, as the anti-abortion crowd are constantly telling us, money is fungible. He can say that none of his government salary goes to cocaine, but there's no way to prove it.

I don't give a tinker's fark what public sector workers love to hear. If he gets paid from a pot that I put money into, I need assurance that not one red cent of what I contribute goes up this guy's nose.

What's good for the goose and so forth.
