That said, this is sad, and that Christmas special was something we always watched at Christmas. Yukon Cornelius was one of the best parts, too.

I have the same hometown as Jim Cummings (I think he actually went to high school with my parents). The speech tournament there is the Jim Cummings Darkwing Duck Speech Tournament. It's awesome.

I mentioned this to one of my coworkers, and he responded that he *hated* all the stop-motion Christmas shows.  Not "I never got into them" or "just not my preference"....it's *hate*.

But then again he refuses to watch any film made before 1980.  I really don't understand this guy at all.

Yeah, this. Can't believe we've hit a generational gap in cartoon voices now. But we have.

Scrooge McDuck is still Alan Young. Dude is 94! And probably the only surviving person who worked on Mr. Ed. Unless you count Clint Eastwood's guest appearance.

About 20 years ago, I was invited to my boss' Christmas party at his house and each attendee was to bring an ornament for the tree in the foyer.  Some of the ornaments were obviously lovingly handmade and personalized, so you can imagine my embarrassment when I walked in with the $4.95 Arbor Drugs version of the plush Yukon Cornelius ornament.  I wanted to die.

What I didn't know was that there was door prize ($50) for the best ornament, which I won.  Turns out my boss was as much as a Rankin-Bass freak as I was, and Yukon was hands down, his absolutely favorite character.

/I still have the whole set of plush Rudolph ornaments
//used to call that job The Island of Misfit Toys, and have the coffee mug to prove it
