It was probably incorrectly diverted to the wrong bin at the calcium plant.

Are we sure this isn't a cause/effect relationship? Many a good tooth has been felled by the dastardly almond, or god forbid the ready-to-rumble walnut..

That's all? I expected this story to have more bite.

Found a half alive cockroach in a salad once drowning in ranch dressing. Was obviously disgusted and left restaurant without waiting for meal. The manager followed me to parking lot screaming that I owed them for sandwhich I ordered and he was being gracious to comp salad. The cockroach still had his little antennas moving. Much nasty place.

I only like fresh teeth In cashews. They really don't compliment something as pedestrian as peanuts....

Was there at least a warning on the package that its ingredients may contain peanuts?

I call shenanigans.  How can an entire moose fit into a bag of salad?

What?   Oh.  Well uh.  Never mind then.

Uh, ewwwe....

In related news...  My daughter was freaking out yesterday because there were mice in the cafeteria at school.  One of them ran right under her table.

All I could tell her is, it IS very cold outside.  It's not like the mice know that they are in a school, and pissing off a bunch of middle-schoolers.  They are just trying to survive.  As long as there is no mouse doody on the pizza, what's they harm, really?

That is what I love about product retrievals; you never know what people have found in their prepackaged food.Usually nuts, bolts or pieces of metal. Sometimes small critters. Once in a while it's glass.

Any other place the health department would have shut them down. But it's OK for a school to have that going on.

Well, of course, if they don't do something about it.  But this is the first time they've ever seen mice.  You gotta give the staff at least a little time to exterminate them.

my thoughts exactly, if a customer saw a mouse in taco hell it would make the news.

Depends on the resturant owner, in my experience. If it's a certified job creating resturant, then yeah, they'll get re-inspection in 6 months. If it's a mom & pop shop that doesn't contribute to the right political party, it's an immediate shutdown while diners are still eating.

You think those mice are just hanging out in the walls and on the floor 24/7? At night, they are crawling all over food prep surfaces/utensils, getting in to any unsecured food...

We are talking about a school that's not in India, right?
