Ambivalence: Are there really any new frontiers in bobsled design?  Haven't we optimized that shiat yet?


You'd think we'd have reached the limits of swimsuit engineering, but they found a way to improve on them.

Bobsleds should be able to benefit from more advanced computer modeling for aerodynamics and improvements in material science to reduce weight.

The Bodine Brothers did alot of work on this in the 80's and 90's, but in any sport where 100ths of a second count nothing is ever truly optimized.
