That's horrible!

This is outrageous!

That statue doesn't look like a goat, it looks like a mandrill with horns.

(Eliphas Levi would not approve)

The Satanists and Flying Spaghetti Monster people seem to have a far better grasp on what religious freedom means under the Constitution.

That's the creepiest part.

That has nothing to do with the statue of the Bahomet, btw... I just find statues of children creepy to begin with.

After other groups - including PETA and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster - asked for their own displays, the Oklahoma City Capitol Preservation Commission placed a moratorium on new monuments at the statehouse.

I love how once the Christians got what they wanted they immediately banned any more monuments. Typical Christian crap.

I can see why they went about it as they did...it's a lose/lose situation for the dominionist Christians and their 10 commandments statues. But they they're still being jerk bags about it. Ah well...they're pissing off people I don't like very much. Lay on and have at thee or something,

I think the reason I can't take satanists seriously is because they need Christianity to define themselves. They lock themselves into a mythological cycle that is by and large defined by their avowed enemies.

Well that and they don't actually worship Satan. LeVay just used Satan for the brand recognition.

Not to mention that Lavey apparently stole a lot of his ideology from ayn rand.

I'm sure that was their intended goal but no, I don't give a shiat. Just observing that they're being sort of obnoxious. I get the whole 1st amendment thing. Just don't pretend these are those people's actual religions.

Sometimes just admitting im pagan is enough to trigger seizures from some of the more fanatical Christian types. They just assume pagans all worship the devil and proceed to flip out as per normal.

Christianity needed a good guy and a bad guy. So they stole one from the Mithradists and the other from a minor character in Judaism's Big Book of STFU (Dude, Where's My Foreskin?).

Ayn rand and her objectivist ideology are essentially the same belief system as Lavey and nis flavor of satanism...Lavey even admitted as much. I suppose that's why I'm always confused she's omens says theyre a Christian that mixes rand into their ideology. That's like a black man who joins the kkk to promote racial diversity.

Absolutely! Given the atrocities some people do in the name of Jesus, I have a hard time believing they're actually Christians.

I've always wondered that.  If someone believes in God, do they have to by default believe in Satan.  Or just the fact that Satan exists?  Because if it's the latter that's a cop out.

Well to be fair Roman Catholics believe that Baptists worship the devil..

Really anything you worship that isn't their God is either idolatry or the devil's trickery. So all though most of them don't understand the distinction they are basically correct if you use their book. And since their book is the only one that matters (of course it is, just ask them) you are in fact worshiping the devil. You may think you're not, but you're just being tricked.

I too worship the devil. I just choose to worship the devil in the form of Milla Jovovich.

Let's see.  Christians imposing their narrow ideology on all of us by erecting a statue on a government site.  And doing so thanks to connections with conservative Christian politicians in the State House.

I think your definition of "dick" needs to be revised.
