Sounds like the franchisees and the disabled folks are at irresolvable loggerheads over this. Can Mayor McCheese be counted on as an impartial actor and broker an equitable settlement for all parties? Is he an elected official or is that post largely ceremonial?

Well the handicapped spokesperson says A), but McDonald's says B). But B) might've been caused because of C). Or B) might've been caused by A). Or A) happened, but McDonald's says B) to cover their ass. Or B) happened, but the spokesperson said A) to cover her ass.

I'm going with D) I don't care anymore.

If your corporate spokesperson is a farking clown, and you hire asshats for managers, you might be sued for violations of the americans with disabilities act.
I doubt they will buy them off with coupons.

go way back in the supply closet and look for the old box full of those disposable ash trays that used to be available. Now, everyone gets a McFlying saucer toy in their happy meal!

In a statement issued to News10, Dennis and Vicki Caldwell, the local owners of the restaurant, said, This recent situation involved a food fight within their group, and disruption to our other guests.

The Caldwells added it wasn't the first time such an incident has occurred.

We have consistently attempted to work with these guests and accommodate their needs as best we can, their statement read.

Gastinell says there was no food fight and her group was well behaved.

"We went in to eat. We weren't disruptive," she said.

What's the more likely scenario:

1.) McDonald's manager kicks out a group of paying regulars who are quietly enjoying their lunch, because they appear to be retarded

or...

2.) A group of retards got loud and rowdy, disrupting business and disturbing other patrons?

I'm going with 2. The footage of the dining room will end this one in a hurry, one way or another. Someone is clearly lying their ass off.

And the manager says that they've had problems with them in the past. Sounds like someone finally had enough of their shiat that they were getting away with because they were disabled.

Every McDonalds in the world has video surveillance. This is something that could be proven or dis proven with 5 minutes of work. So I guess we better run the story on the internet so the whole world can read it, without doing that 5 minutes of journalism.

The first, obviously. Any manager worth their salt is going to know that you make the most money by kicking out your repeat customers.

I'd love to see the look on Ms. McVictim's face when the video surfaces.

If these bleeding hearts have their way we'll be subjected to a world where out of control autistic kids are punching out little old ladies, retards are running around retail establishments knocking over displays, palsy victims are making a mess at the table in a restaurant, brain damaged waifs are drooling everywhere making everyone else physically ill, and kids with undiagnosed fungi are touching everything in sight. Do you honestly want a world like that?

Meanwhile, and a nearby table...............

"she rounded up her clients"

And precisely why did a group of people that were "eating quietly" need rounding up? More likely, they were acting out (AKA making a lot of noise, wandering around and annoying everyone else). I've seen caretakers just sit and munch away while their "clients" toss food, bang on their trays, scream, throw tantrums, etc.

I went to a Catholic HS that was not close to my home, so I had to take public transportation early on and then later again when I farked up my car. The morning bus had a large group of disabled adults (all with various forms of mental retardation). They could be extremely loud sometimes, but they were NEVER a problem. The only 'problem' they ever presented was being loud and occasionally having arguments where one didn't want to sit with others, or the one couple among them would be overly affectionate (not like teenage PDAs, more like little kids with crushes being loud and cute).

But these were big retarded adults and even though they took this same bus every single day to their job (they all worked in the same program, not sure what they did I felt it was rude to be too nosey about it) at least once a week there'd be some able bodied jackass who'd be a jackass. Sometimes it was just stares, mutters, and other shiat. Sometimes they'd actually flip out on the bus driver and make comments about how 'these people' should be on a short yellow bus or some shiat.

And this group knew it, they were not oblivious to this shiat. And they'd mock them so hard, it was hilarious. It was like watching a clique of kids just demolish a pain in the ass adult.

They sometimes made me feel uncomfortable, not because they were doing anything wrong, but because I felt awkward and unsure what to do. Or couldn't tune them out because they were noisy. But none of this was THEIR problem, and I never made it such.

I've never seen a group of adults disabled in this way EVER create a problem in a public space beyond what I mentioned. It intrudes on people's comfort zones, and so the fark what...that's not their problem. And I'd take them over rowdy teens every single day of the week, or crying children. And if I lived locally I'd be making sure everyone boycotted the fark out of that McDonalds.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to be nice to mentally handicapped people. Oh, you were expecting 5 star service in a McDonalds? Let me sing you the song of my people!

Is it that hard to understand that their lives suck over something they had, and STILL have, no control over?

Get over yourselves, and count your blessings.

They kicked em out? shiat, if it was any of the McDonalds near me, they would have handed em aprons and sent em back to take drive-thru orders.

Seriously, if you don't like being pelted by half eaten hamburgers and greasy fries you can just move to another table. Of course that also shows that you are an intolerant bastage.

simkatu: If you are a patron that is disturbed by a handicapped person making funny noises then screw you, seriously.

Exactly. People with disabilities have carte blanche, you're not allowed to be disturbed by the screaming or flying food. It doesn't matter if you have paid $5 or $200 for your meal, you must keep your mouth shut if the atmosphere and your experience is completely ruined by someone with mental disabilities.
