My german is rusty (and I'm too lazy to look it up in Google Translate) but did you just say "I've fallen and I can't get up"?

halfway there. Fallen is a -- for lack of a better word because my memory fails me -- Bewegung or movement verb. It's "Ich bin gefallen," but you did place the modal verb and its infinitiv properly

You are right about moving the verb to the end due to the modal verb. I thought the helping verb should be "bin" because gefallen is a verb that indicates action, but maybe since you are stuck on the floor and not moving, it would be habe.

Germans are the worst grammar nazis I hear.

Crap, reading redmid17's post I realized I should have said indicates movement, not action. Verbs tend to be actions.

My German teachers would probably recommend sending me to some kind of camp now for my mistake.

I don't think in German, but I would imagine it's been some time since Angela had someone annex her Sudetenland. Right in die Anschluss.

No. It is capitalized as an abbreviation, such as "SE of Munich". Whether it takes a hyphen depends on to whom one is speaking: http://blog.editage.com/hyphens-in-compass-points-or-directions

Because there is variation in usage across English regarding the hyphen, I wouldn't call it wrong to use it, even though I would tend to remove it if I was the editor involved.

I'm curious how the British system handles north-northwest. Because north-north-west makes you sound like Johnny Two-Times Two-Times.
