Very cool.  Hopefully they're out there celebrating an upset in Seattle and not showing love for a concluded good season next Sunday morning.

Not sure why this is news ... a lot of teams' fans (those that are doing well) appear at the airport to greet them when they return, win or lose.

Did the Niners end up staying out east? I heard there was talk if the Saints won Saturday that the Niners wouldn't fly back home after a win only to fly to the east coast a few days later.

Who? What teams? Not saying you're a liar, I just don't hear about it on a national level, ever, unless said team is being pelted with hard objects.

You hear it more on local levels, and internationally it always seems to happen to soccer teams in continental contests like the Champions League.

Because most fan bases don't feel the need to share with the world (or, in this case, the Fark Sports tab)

The real proof of dedication will come if the same people show up when the Saints come home with their tails between their legs after being humiliated by the Seahawks.

Because aints fans want everyone to know how big their bandwagon has become after not having a winning record for their first 25 years.

In reality no one currrr

What national event? Its a saints new site and only here on fark because their fans suck mod ass to garner favors.

Every sports teams has fans meeting them after wins they shouldn't have had, even marlins had people greeting them and they have horrible fans.

We did it after losing to the Bears in the 2006 NFCCG.  In fact, that was pretty much the first time we did it.

That's not surprising, considering the Saints' record on getting to the playoffs before that (and their record once they got there).

How do you even do this? Just show up at the airport and tell them you're there to greet the team's airplane and they direct you where to go? I don't see a sign on the directory board for "NFL Charter Flights (Arrivals)" when I enter the airport.

Actually I'm surprised the fans got anywhere near the team, given how airports are these days.

From what I remember, it's a relatively small airport with only one way in and one way out.  And at 4am, there's probably not much traffic leaving the airport via the "one way out."

Also, the Saints personnel probably don't go out of their way to avoid the fans.

Fans do it all the time in Baltimore. Hell, usually on the news, they tell fans not to show up at the airport, because they aren't going to see the players there. I think they gather at the training facility instead. And it's win or lose :)

Well, there has to be some redeeming factor to live in a city that smells like a sewer.

(I still joke that every toilet that flushes between the Appalachians and Rocky Mountains eventually ends up in New Orleans.)

He's playing all his greatest hits, that's great. "You're a Bandwagon Fan (Whereas I've Just Been Preoccupied with Chores Every Sunday Morning While My Falcons Have Sucked Ass)" and "Fark's Totally Biased in Favor of the Saints, That's Why There Were No Scandal Threads Ever."

Maybe if we ask really nicely he'll do the acoustic versions.

As a Hawks fan I am looking forward to this rematch. I think this will be a much much tougher game this time around. Out of the 3 teams left NO is the one that worries me the most.

Go Hawks!

There's nothing wrong with Seattle's fan base. At least nothing more than any other team that's doing well. Even less so here on Fark.

/go 'Hawks!

I'm no more concerned about Seattle's chances against NO than any of the other teams. However, losing to them would suck the most.

The 12th man meets the team at the airport after ever road game.
