Well, as fate would have it, the Chargers are supposed to win the Super Bowl this year anyway.

/for the same reason the Saints, Packers, Giants, and Ravens did these last four years
//they were in Philly for the home opener.

Thats what I've been saying.  Team of Destiny.

Luckily PFM cares not for streaks.  He kills them in the face.

It probably doesn't do a lot for your confidence when your boss says he didn't even want your ginger ass in the first place.  Then going out and crapping the bed like a monkey with the ebola virus in the first round of the playoffs probably didn't do a lot for his job security.  I'm guessing the Bungles draft a QB high or in a perfect world pick up Mike Vick.

Whats amazing is a little bit ago people were saying AJ was the reason Carson looked good and any QB could do well there, guess Andy proved them wrong, he looked lost out there.

I'd be interested to see who was saying that, considering that Carson Palmer and A.J. Green never played a single snap together.

I am still convinced that it is extremely difficult to play in very cold conditions.

Or you could not pull your usual "make up bullshiat" nonsense, seeing as how AJ Green was drafted in 2011 and Carson Palmer was too busy finding a way out of Cincinnati in 2011 to play a single down with him.

Stafford is the better comparison to Dalton.  They're both mediocrities who ride the coattails of All-Pro wide receivers.

What makes Romo different is that he's a genuinely good quarterback (until December).

This is the perfect steamingpile comment. It's a sports opinion, of sorts. Its initial purpose was to pump up a player because he played at UGA. And it's not just wrong, it's laughably, provably, demonstrably false. There is absolutely no way it could be based in reality, because it's patently untrue.

And yet, he will continue to deliver his hot sports takes in the fervent belief that someday, somehow, Georgia will be relevant.

Watching the video, I'm confused by the turnover on the Dalton run. I thought the rules say that the ground can not cause a fumble, which is exactly what happened there.

The ground can't cause a fumble if there's contact. No one touched him, he just coughed it up.

That's Mike Brown. Even if the Bengals won several Superb Owls with Kaepernick or Dalton behind the center, Mike Brown would eventually Mike Brown it up, and after either quarterback's first contract expires, and when he wants to be paid what he's worth, Mike Brown will say something along the lines of, "Enjoy St. Louis/Miami/Jacksonville," before tanking a couple of seasons to get a high-profile draft pick and instill false hope in the Bengals' fan base.

That team will never excel until that bloodline has no possession over it.

That's an insult to Tony Romo.

Romo throws game ending picks in close games after being very good to excellent the first 58 minutes.

Dalton played an ok half then committed what, 4 individual turnovers, including an unforced fumble?

Dalton sir, is no Tony Romo.

Yeah, seriously.

Just their center, instead of the Ravens guy, who rated worst in the league and third worst in 5 years according to PFF.

Dalton just sucks; he's not a Romo.

Stafford is Romo

2014-01-06 08:16:49 AM
This headline is just troll bait. Dalton isn't like Romo. Stafford is a much better comparison. Decent QB made to look good by an out of this world WR. Can't get it done in the postseason.

Romo is irrelevant because a)he's hurt, b)he's not in the playoffs and c)he's a good QB bailing out a terrible defense.

Plus even the Cowboys have won playoff games post 1990. Bengals not so much.

This is the type of loss that will cause some necessary soul-searching in the organization about whether Dalton is the right quarterback to end the team's streak of futility.

At least Skip Bayless was a legitimate journalist for a brief moment, back in the early 80s.

No, I'm pretty sure Dalton fits far more.  The litmus test is this: How long would he last if he were in Cleveland?  The answer for Dalton is "not much longer than Brandon Weeden did".  The answer for Stafford is "At least until the next regime change". They may look like similar time frames, but they are different, I swear?

/Romo's answer? "Until the next QB savior of the Browns is drafted."

It was to see if anyone would bite, people have defended Andy for a long time for no reason, he looks lost most games and their defense keeps them in games. He throws up a pass to get a miraculous reception of a horrible pass on the other end.

Truth be known it was more of a troll against people who were saying Andy Dalton was as good as Matt Ryan than pumping AJ up. Although he is the best receiver to come out of UGA in 40-50 years, I'm sure Pittsburgh fans would disagree with Hines being there so long though.

And Georgia is still relevant, otherwise they wouldn't put them in the top 10-15 every year, even though I agree they didn't deserve it last preseason.

It's true. They're both quarterbacks whose careers are hampered by their doofus team owners who are too self-absorbed to hire a general manager.

LOL at the Cowboys white-knights defending Romo as better by saying "he's no Andy Dalton."

It's really come to this, Cowboys fans.
