""I don't know. I wish I could go back and turn back the clock and take another try," he said on "Fox News Sunday" when asked if he felt he would have won the 2012 election if President Obama had not lied about Americans being able to keep their health insurance plans.

Romney added hey I just created Obamacare, I don't know anything about implementing it that he is trying not to focus on the past, though."

Fixed that for ya Mitt!

Delusional.  Take a clue from John Kerry, Mitt.  It doesn't matter who you're running against, we just don't want you.

When that Netflix documentary comes out, I predict that it will make him look even more like this.

I'm confused.

Does Fox actually think that Obamacare was solely the issue that America voted against Romney?

Or how about the insurance companies wanted not to look like the bad guys when they couldn't keep the crap policies anymore?

And I'm still wondering about keeping your Doctor thing...I've had insurance companies knock my doctor off their list because he actually treated his patients!
So how is this new?

What is the point of asking him if he thought he would wint? At that time he already thought he had won the election and was genuinely shocked when the echo chamber didn't match up.

There were similar issues surrounding Bush's Medicare Part D and Johnson's original Medicare rollout, as well as FDR's Social Security.

BunkoSquad: Show me a Republican who doesn't want to turn back the clock....to 1953, if not 1853

I'm a Democrat who would like to have the Republicans of 1953. George Romney was an excellent governor of Michigan. Before that, he consolidated Nash, Rambler, Kelvinator, others into American Motors which saved thousands of jobs by the synergy of the merger. And presciently saw the niche for the smaller car, inspiring Iacocca's Mustang. Michigan did well under George Romney.

when asked if he felt he would have won the 2012 election if President Obama had not told Americans that they would be all able to be able to keep their current plans under the health care law -- a claim that in many cases turned out not to be the case.

I have no idea what just happened but I could swear that the first time I read this article 10 minutes ago, this quote said "if President Obama had not have lied and said people could keep their current health plans."

I was about to criticize the article for saying it was a "lie" because I think that's really a trollish way of saying "made a mistake."

Did some editor change this? Anyone got the original? Or do I need to give up amphetamines?

George Romney from the polygamist cult in Mexico?

upload.wikimedia.org

Governor George W. Romney's parents lived in Mexico, but at least Wiki claims that they were monogamous. His grandparents were polygamous. Not sure why you have a problem with polygamy or with their religion, but there it is. There were questions surrounding's GWR's natural-born status when he tried to run for POTUS, but that wasn't what torpedoed his candidacy. Having lived in MI, I can also attest that George W. Romney is a very popular person still there today-- things named after him and such. The marital status of a person's parents doesn't diminish or compromise the achievements of the progeny anyway.

FTA: "But history is in the past, and I'm not going to worry about what could have happened. What I am worried about, is that you have a lot of people who are going to find their premiums going through the roof," he [Romney] said. "They're going to find that the doctor they've had, they can't keep. They're going to find the policies they were promised they could have, they're not going to be able to keep. And the American people are going to be very, very upset about that."

Definitely yes. But the sins of George Romney's parents are not visited on the son, nor are the sins of George Romney's son visited upon the parent. That's why God created sex, to have diversity not clones.

I think there was a "lied" in there before too. Maybe it was from the interview question on Fox, and nobody noticed it making it into the article without quotes, so they softened it up. Or maybe we both need to cut down on amphetamines.

This makes me wonder: Who's the GOP going to run in 2016? Most of the mainstream Republicans have been pushed aside by Tea Partiers, and they won't get any traction in a national race. Christie is almost guaranteed to cause a 3rd party split. Jeb Bush has a toxic name. Who's left?

Jeb Bush. The Rockefeller branch of the New World Order let you have Rothschild branch Obama. Now for all of you who dreaded Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton in 2008 will get to choose between a Bush and a Clinton in 2016, of course both puppeteered by the Rockefeller branch.

I watched the election results with my parents. After having listened to Rush and watching Fox, they were giddy with excitement that their man Romney would soon be giving that usurper the boot. I on the other hand had been watching the "real" news and it was hilarious and sad.

When Karl questioned the results and warned Fox not to poison west coast voters with incorrect results, they rose to their feet in support. It was like the Superbowl and World Series rolled into one.

In the end my mom called Obama everything but the N-word, and I could tell that if I hadnt been there she'd have said it. They were still in shock the next morning.

Thats what you get for voting for Reagan when I was a kid mom. Thats what you get for crushing my 5 year old dreams of rooting for Carter (the only President I had known).
