Well, the car jacker had sweat equity at that point.

NYC resembles that remark.

And then he ditched it into *another* snowbank as he tried to get away from the cops. Lol.

New York is trying desperately to take back the title of "Most Crime Ridden Hellhole" from Chicago it seems.

Hey look its a hi-point! preferred criminal weapon and cheapest handgun on the market.

I thought nothing says fellowship in New York like joining together to beat a person who is walking too slow and robbing the cadaver of everything except his or her tattoos.

They really have a hang-up with that. They're all "get out of my way foo'!". Blocking the side walk or the street or even two square feet in front of a counter is a capital crime because each and every New Yorker has the sole and exclusive right of way through anything, including you.

That and taking their taxi cab.

An 18-year-old goon helped a motorist dig out a car

It could have been worse. He could have stolen his parking place.

Obviously this is just a case of more bad cops.

2014-01-05 01:18:58 PM
The guy should have used his car to steal the gun.

2014-01-05 01:19:41 PM
Yeah, like this happened.  Guns are illegal in NYC.

Its going to have to work really, really hard then. As a Bostonian, I am risking a charge of treason by pointing out that NYC is absurdly safe for its size:

Property Crime Rate

Chicago = 4236.4
Los Angeles = 2269.1
NYC = 1722.2

If you can steal it there, then you can steal it anywhere...

There's nothing you can't steal after a snowstorm when you're in New York.

If only this teenager hasn't been issued a ccw permit this wouldn't have happened

Maybe the guy stole the attacker's parking place, and the attacker was just trying to tell him not to do it again?

Is that per 100,000?

(I visited NYC for a week of shows and museums recently and never felt unsafe at any time. There were always too many people around for someone to try to rob us.)

Well, New York, you can try for your own tag, but you still have a long, long way to go.

Sincerely,
