I see that they stopped the video right before the camera guy became the new cat toy.

You're going to have to explain this to me. I'm not aware of any Christ-whatever words and know nothing about Presbyterians.

All part of Obama's war on Christians.

Must be pretty low-grade catnip. They weren't THAT wound up.

Well, the Lions need something to help them through December and January.

Yeah, I'd kept doing a little more research after blindly trusting Wikipedia.  Their own link cited after claiming lions did not react to catnip went on to say that lions reacted by tigers don't.  Lesson: Don't trust wikipedia.

Better send a memo to the lion in this video (2 min in, warning: terrible background music).

The thing with catnip is that roughly 1/4 of domestic cats don't really respond to it (for example, my 2 cats go nuts for it, but my mother's 2 cats don't care at all), so there might also be variations in what percentage of cats in other cat species respond.

Sadly, I was in a middle school play regarding that act (episcopal private school for one year, go figure), and just missed the whole 'feed them to lions' angle. Derp.

Several hundred years too early to be a Christian though - Daniel was a Jew who lived about six centuries before the birth of Jesus.

It was the Romans, not Babylonians / Persians, that fed many Christians to lions.

True, that. Wonder if any of the zookeepers are descendants of Hadrian.

/did Hadrian send anybody to the lions?
