Tyler Hansbrough

What's going on with the tags?  Is Russell the product of Tyler's mom and an old athletic department tryst?

That wouldn't make for a very clever headline, then.

I'm a Florida State alum and felt the same way, bro.  :)

Like I've said before, Urban will have tOSU back on track.  Losing to Southern teams in the post season.

How's Urban's win streak going?  Maybe time for him to retire and spend some time with his family.

That was a damned exciting game, regardless of who won. The hitting was so hard that I was surprised that they weren't dragging carcasses off the field after every other play. Even though the game had more than it's share of mental errors by the players, this was a game where both teams left it all out on the field last night.

Why didn't they use their timeouts at the end and force a punt? It's worth  shot.

Also, I didn't think the guy that picked off the pass had complete control of that ball.

Because BSPN can't count.  The score box said two timeouts left, but there was only one.

/Props to Clemson

Watching East West all American bowl. Ohio State has signed 8 all Americans so far. Farking Urban Meyer does recruit well.

...I don't think Urban had any control over the teams he played, and probably won't for another year or two.

/Vandy chickening out and forcing an audible to an FCS school on short notice doesn't count.

Don't think the coach ever gets a say in who they play, but even if he does there are no open slots until 2017 and they are already playing Oklahoma that year (and in 2016).  They have TCU in 2018 & 2019.

We have home-and-homes set for the next 10 years:
2014-15:  Virginia Tech
2016-17:  Oklahoma
2018-19:  TCU
2020-21:  Oregon and Boston College
2022-23:  Texas

Of course, if and when any of these teams turn to dogshiat (i.e., Cal was scheduled many years ago), BSPN will be right there yapping about how "Ohio State never plays anybody" and most college football fans will continue to accept it as gospel.

Agreed. That LB on Clemson never really had aontrol of the INT, but whatever it's only amateur football.

Also, why do so many schools have Tigers as their mascot? And three in the SEC? Way to be creative.

Three Tigers and two Bulldogs.  And people still make Roughriders/Rough Riders jokes about the CFL.

To be fair, Mizzou just got added in and Auburn has 3 mascots total (War Eagle, Tigers, and Plainsmen). LSU is at least consistent.

Of those, only two are in the top 25 (last BCS before the bowls started).

Cal was never good.  They've had 8 10 win seasons in program history.  That's a program that, even if competitive when you sign the agreement, you can count on to suck by the time you play them.

VaTech's going through its lost decade.  Unless they push Beamer out soon, they won't be very good.  (Then again, even VaTech could probably score on OSU.  And Foster usually puts together a solid defense.)  Oklahoma will probably be good.  TCU would've been a good one to schedule a few years ago, but they're terrible now.  And by the time we get to the 2020s, Oregon, Texas and BC -- the latter could be anywhere from good to atrocious -- may not even be on the schedule anymore given how things change in CFB these days.

But then by the time we get that far down the road, the B1G may have gotten its shiat together too.

I sure hope so, considering the only B1G teams who showed up to their bowl games were Sparty and what was left of the Huskers' depth chart... Pretty lousy bowl season to recruit by.
