Yes because we all know typos never happened before the invention of social media.

I will go further, and say you should make sure that you get your dates right and don't tell everyone students are due back a day earlier than scheduled even if you are not doing it via Facebook or Twitter.

If anything, social media makes it faster, cheaper, and easier to distribute corrections to mistakes.

Kid waits for the school bus, but no school bus shows up.
Kid goes home and calls the school and school says they are closed due to [insert excuse here, but usually real bad weather].
School says, they announced it on the radio.
Kid says, who the f*ck listens to the radio?

/Still better than the automated call system that is for closures and emergencies, that keeps being used for school promotions instead of emergencies.

What the school district forgot is that classes actually resume on Tuesday.

For whatever that is worth. Just take a deep breath and relax.

Yeah. My school had to send out singing telegrams and it cost them a fortune.

Don't get me started on that, my sons senior year (2004) they installed a version of that and the fun started, promos, recital reminders for grades he wasn't in, malfunctions that caused it to call at 2 am, and again at 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, etc. Then after almost a decade of blessed peace they digitized the system last year and added a "feature" that would update alumni on events (cause everyone waits with baited breath to hear what their old high school is up to) only the various databases got merged so I got calls announcing everything that every grade had going on for almost two weeks, I finally threw in the towel and dropped the landline just to get away from that monster. I hope whoever ended up with my old number actually has a kid in that school....

/now if you will excuse me the nurse is here with the nice blue go away pills

For our chemistry exam we had to write a thousand words on acid.

Unfortunately my pen turned into a gorilla and the floor melted.

I got to the fifth word and my pen dissolved.
