"I cannot stand by and do nothing while this evil takes root in my home," the man wrote on Facebook. "Some things in life are worth sacrificing one's [health]and even life if necessary."

How many gay couples does he have living in his house?

But no cheating.  You don't take any nourishment whatsoever - no soylent, no protein shakes, no juice, no electrolyte solutions, no enhanced IVs, no nothing.  Zip.  Zilch.  Nada.

You do that until gay people can't get married any more.  Go ahead.

Yes, you're impeding their religious freedom by not allowing them to actively discriminate with government services and rights otherwise allowed for others.

Why is it that we see all this outrage about homosexuality?  When there is far more adultery, theft, Idolatry and blasphemy occurring in our society?  Those four are a few of the ten commandments which passed directly from the hand of god to mankind.  The ten commandments didn't mention anything about homosexuality nor did Jesus mention anything about homosexuality.

Why don't we see outrage and indignation against adulterers? A Christian man can catch his wife committing adultery and may divorce her but if someone else a 100 miles away marries someone of the same sex, he decides to starve himself until they ban it?

These people a very well programmed.

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes I want there to be a law that would allow public flogging of people who are abusing their 1st Amendment Rights. You just know that Westboro Baptist would've been flayed alive with the shiat they pull and this guy would've gotten a sound and well-deserved beating.

Another of our Constitutional rights that's often overlooked if the right to remain silent

Can someone show me where in the Bible, or any religious text for that matter, it says that allowing gay people to get married in the state you live in is a sin that will send you to hell? You can't? Well, then this is not a "religious freedom" issue. This is a "you are a farking bigoted asshole" issue.

wtf?  if you do not allow your offspring to explore the world around them, and/or LIE to them about how the world works, you are the reason your kid is sitting in the office because he tried to "kick that biatches' head in"  or stuck with child support and a LITERAL shotgun wedding

It wouldn't be a religious freedom issue then, either. Your holy book could say "thou shalt be a giant dick and oppress the shiat out of all that thou surveyest" in big, red letters, and it wouldn't matter. "Freedom of religion" isn't "freedom to impose your religion on others".

Buuuut "not eating"... isn't that technically doing nothing? I mean if you ate a buffet in protest that would be doing something.

It's a time-honoured means of passively protesting against injustice. This is, admittedly, the first time I have ever encountered a hunger strike as protest against justice, but that's Americans for you.

It's in the Bible, but you have to start on the right word, and then read every third letter or something. It's like a code.

I encourage other same-sex marriage opponents to protest in this method, except for those protesters who prefer a more direct method of expressing their opposition; for those individuals, I recommend following the example set by Mr. Dominique Venner.

Somewhere in Leviticus it says something that can be construed as such, but it also says something directly about mixed fibers ad eating pork that are summarily ignored.

It's also part of the book that Christians can ignore. Jews, who do follow it, are, from what I can tell, mostly okay with the whole thing.

Exactly. What part of 'religious freedom' gives you the right to apply -your- religion forcibly upon other non-members?
This is especially rich coming from a member of achurch that (at least when people were oppressing them using the same logic)used to loudly go on and on about absolute tolerance of all religious choices and all matters of conscience. Until they got some power of their own, now its all about oppressing as hard as they can. They are like the Israel of religions.

He means freedom for HIS religion (which is at least marginally Christianity - depending who you ask) or perhaps HIS cult/sect, Mormonism (and only that one). Either way, living under those laws of old wouldn't be good for anyone, including him.

/Just trying to keep it in context.
